I clicked wondering if I would like it after not hearing it for quite awhile - I’m pretty blown away! Great performance

Saw them. It rocked. Could not hear right for days. Totally worth it!

What a classic song. Drummer Nigel Preston actually laid the beat down, just before he was fired from The Cult. In the video, it's Big Country's Mark Brzezicki playing along, all while wearing a leather jacket, sweater, necktie combo.

Must have been hot work for Mark.

Nigel was an amazing drummer. Did excellent work in Theatre of Hate and Death Cult.

A band that I wish I had seen live.

Former townhouse neighbor introduced me to The Cult; specifically this tune. I also discovered Polk Audio speakers thanks to him. Audio genius.

Saw them open for Billy Idol, Whiplash Smile tour. Excellent combo.

Not only does the song hold up, I’d say the whole Love album holds up nicely. One of the great albums of all time. I know lots of people will chime in with Rick Rubin’s AC/DC fantasy album (Electric, I like it fine) but Love towers over Electric IMO.

back in the day, Love was the album I put on before I went out for the evening. I especially used to enjoy Phoenix turned up loud.

saw them April 17 and Jul 31 1987. I was diagnosed with profound hear loss three days later.

Worth It!!

I love this song. They were a really tight band. Never understood why they weren’t bigger.

I admit I slept on them in the 80s. Started digging them in the 90s and am ashamed I didn't see them live. The more I heard the more I liked.

Definitely rockers. I never saw them either, but definitely loved the sound. We still have the music so rock on!

This such a great song. They still perform it today and it still rocks.

Great song and band, and nobody cares if Ian dresses like a pirate.

Their best song

Bought a 12" of this at Rough Trade Records in London while visiting family in Blighty the year it dropped. Still have it. It has the extended play version, which is about 8½ minutes long.

Fire Woman is a great stripper song.

One of the best songs of the 1980's. Helped us deal with the despair and misery of peak Thatcherism.

Someday ill look at the lyrics. I can only catch about 5 words. Dispite that...awesome tune!!

I'm on the side of "I prefer the dreamy psychedelic Cult over the stripped down rock and roll Cult"

I miss my '80s hair so much...

I've always loved Ian's bitchin' moves before the lyrics kick in... So great.

And then they moved to America and turned into some kind of crappy wannabe heavy rock embarrassment
