Engineering tuition

It sure jumped for incoming students this year. How do you afford it? Take 100k+ in loans to get to graduation?

Can't land any other than the $5k merit, don't fit any demographics for the ones I've seen. If you got some tips I'd love to hear them.

Just keep applying. Go on scholar dollars and grind and grind and grind.

Are you an Oregon resident? If so, I'd apply for OSAC in future years (too late this year). For three straight years, I got two scholarships through OSAC.

DPP and take as many community college classes as you can first

Also I wonder if you can go in undeclared and change your engineering later when you actually take engineering classes?

The only way I could afford it was doing Ecampus unfortunately. I did get scholarships but it wasn't enough to cover tuition if I did in person. Also doing DPP helped.

This depends if you're in state or out of state. Ecampus is a flat rate, regardless of residency, that's somewhere in between in state and out of state. So ecampus is only cheaper for out of state students

True. I was out of state, so it made sense. I would have been able to afford in state tuition

My daughter has gotten the Finley every year, and manages to get a few women in stem ones, also. Otherwise, when my mother in law died, we sold her house and put what equity she had in it in college funds 20 years ago so my kids would have minimal to no debt. I hate how unaffordable college has become, and best of luck to all of you finding a way to finance.

Go hate your life for 3 years in the military so you don't have to hate your life paying off 100k+ in loans over the next 20 years
