While I may like horror stuff, I bring this eldritch abomination with the ability to possess the screens, where the many eyes appear, voice mimicry, and sounds.

The arachnid form will be out anytime soon.

OC Lore and Bios Zombie Apocalypse Survivor with CF

Post image
Upvotes

Excuse the longer post:

I had the most GENIUS story idea that came to me in a dream the other night.

I have Cystic Fibrosis, which - for all intents and purposes of keeping it brief - is like advanced asthma where the lungs and pancreas has mucus, preventing us from breathing and gaining weight well.

In my dream, I was struck in a zombie apocalypse, which in itself, is not that unique. However, I was thinking, "what if a story revolved around someone who was disabled, surviving a fallout of some kind, and needed to travel across the country to survive?"

He has to travel from Maryville, MO (as he is a graduate student there) to Oregon where his parents are at - it also has the last remaining evacuation point in the US. The others are now gone, and the US is being bombed to rid of the virus in just a little under a month.

I wanted to explore how living with a disease is like with a fallout scenario.

He commonly has to improvise when his medications starts to run out and when his treatment burns up in a fire. He has to endure through his constant pain and lack of breathing to try and prevail.

He also uses his knowledge from various literature and film to help him survive.

Thoughts? (the character design itself isn't that important as I'm not going to focus much on his appearance in the novel)

Community Interaction Who is the antagonist of your story?

Post image
Upvotes

Tell me about an antagonist from your story!

My works have quite a few, but I'll introduce one of the strangest ones: Fitzgerald, usually called Fitz, the woman in the illustration.

She's an antagonist rather than a straightforward villain. Her goal is to return to the Moon, and the protagonists end up having to stop the enormous tower she builds to accomplish that.

Her entire character can be summarized with one sentence:

John F. Kennedy was a Lunarian.

Yes, really.

So, context.

I make a series called Kagamino Series, which can basically be described as “Touhou, But Western History.” Its equivalent of Gensokyo is the Mirrorworld, a place where things and people that have “become part of the past” can eventually end up.

Fitzgerald was originally a Lunarian living on the Mirrormoon. She believed the Moon should establish contact with Earth instead of remaining isolated.

She was progressive by Lunarian standards, but not exactly humble about it. Her attitude was basically, “If we show Earth our advanced civilization, surely they'll understand.” She opposed Lunarian isolationism while still carrying plenty of Lunarian superiority.

That eventually put her in conflict with the lunar establishment.

Because Fitzgerald had supporters, simply executing her would have been politically dangerous. Instead, the authorities sentenced her to a stranger form of exile: erase her memories and personality, then reincarnate her as a human on Earth.

Fitz managed one final act of resistance. She altered the reincarnation spell, changing complete erasure into suppression and adding one condition:

She would be reincarnated as an American.

She knew almost nothing about America at the time. It was basically a desperate last-second choice.

Then, in 1917, she was born in Brookline, Massachusetts as John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

And no, she did not deliberately choose JFK.

Because reincarnation begins around conception or early fetal development, the pool of possible Americans was somewhat limited, but Kennedy was still only one possibility among many.

So becoming the future 35th President of the United States was, essentially, an unbelievable lucky roll.

For most of his childhood, Kennedy genuinely believed he was an ordinary human. His family, education, military career, relationships, and political experiences were not imported memories. He lived them normally, starting from infancy.

Around the age of ten, however, fragments of Fitzgerald's sealed memories began leaking through as unusually vivid dreams.

He had no reason to conclude, “Obviously I used to be a woman from the Moon,” so he mostly dismissed them as imagination.

Then PT-109 happened.

In 1943, Kennedy's patrol boat was rammed and cut in half by the Japanese destroyer Amagiri. Two crewmen died, while Kennedy survived and helped rescue the others.

In Kagamino, being pushed that close to death caused the restrictions on Fitzgerald's Lunarian abilities to break. The memory seal collapsed with them.

Suddenly, more than twenty years of life as John F. Kennedy collided with an entire previous life as Fitzgerald.

This did not magically solve anything.

Instead, she had to deal with a much worse question: Which one was actually her?

Eventually, Fitzgerald refused to treat either identity as fake. John F. Kennedy and the Lunarian Fitzgerald were both genuine parts of the same person.

That is why the modern Fitz still possesses the values and emotional attachments she developed on Earth while also retaining her Lunarian memories and occasional extremely condescending Lunar attitude.

From there, history mostly proceeds as we know it.

Kennedy enters politics.

Kennedy becomes President.

And Kennedy supports the Apollo program.

Except Kagamino adds one additional motive.

Fitzgerald wanted to go home.

So the Apollo program, in the most brutally simplified terms possible, became the largest and most expensive “Can someone give me a ride home?” in human history.

Unfortunately, if Fitzgerald is John F. Kennedy, then November 22, 1963 still has to happen.

She is assassinated in Dallas before Apollo can bring her back to the Moon.

And there is one final twist.

In Kagamino, the people ultimately responsible for Kennedy's assassination were members of the Lunarian establishment who had exiled Fitzgerald in the first place. They realized what she was attempting and acted before humanity could reach the Moon.

Naturally, the Warren Commission could not exactly write: “The Moon did it.”

So history still records Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman.

The cruel part is that Fitz herself does not know this.

She thinks her assassination was simply one more tragedy she encountered during her life on Earth.

The player, however, can discover the truth through the game's archives.

So Fitzgerald continues longing to return to the same place whose ruling class secretly arranged her death.

After dying, she eventually arrives in the Mirrorworld. Freed from her human body, her soul returns to its original female form.

And because apparently one failed Moon program wasn't enough, she tries again.

She constructs the enormous Saturn Tower to reach the Mirrormoon.

This attracts far too much attention, the protagonists investigate, and eventually they fight her to stop the project.

So yeah.

My antagonist is a reincarnated Lunarian woman who spent 46 years accidentally being John F. Kennedy, used the Apollo program as a ride home, got assassinated by Lunar political interests without realizing it, and then tried to build her own route back after death.

What about yours?

(English isn’t my first language, so I used DeepL to help with the translation. I wrote the original text myself.)

OC Lore and Bios Michael might be God's strongest soldier. Part 1.

Post image
Upvotes

This is Michael, he is a poor religious man that lives in a cave with makeshift beds and furnaces that usually breakdown from time to time, he had a rough childhood of his mother and father getting killed just about a month after his birth, he was moving from foster families to another, but each one abused him severely, couldn't eat food for weeks, he didn't have friends, none of his family members don't even like him, he was very weak, and was considered an ugly boy in his town of poverty.

Michael became religious after running away from a foster family that basically turned him into a slave at the age of 12, he was chained up everyday and only released just to do work or just be severely beaten, but at night, he once escaped after using leftover soup to rust the chains and break them to be set free, he then runs away from home, although it was a freezing winter that got him caught between a rock and a hard place, he fortunately survived 3 weeks by using cardboard boxes for warmth, but after exploring far away from his hometown, he discovered an old broken church that was bombed in a war before, he discovered monks praying to a statue of Jesus Christ once. From there on, he converted into being a christian, but life didn't get easier, Michael was just given an opportunity from poor monks living in caves one day.

During his religious journey, he asked the fathers of his church of why God allowed Michael to suffer so much and faced evil in life despite being a benevolent and omnipotent God that cares for him, he was given arguments to prove why God allows it to happen, but overtaken by emotions, he felt like he didn't get an answer, but one day, an angel appeared to him, not like those of white clothes and wings, but taken an appearance of a poor man that is malnourished and poorly clothed, he asked Michael a question. "Is God a master or a helper to you? Does the one that knows everything have to be asked why He allows evil? Tell me, can you defeat a thousand men with only your bear hands? Tell me, can you swim across the seven seas without taking a break? From what does a mortal like you would like to comprehend the incomprehensible?"

This is just part one of the story, second part will come sooner or later.
