I'm 36/m from Scotland (but live in Berlin) and I'm going to be in Osaka from the 9th for two weeks. I'm packing my running shoes to hopefully offset the almost irresponsible amount of beer and okonomiyaki I plan on drinking/eating. Just wondering if anyone fancies meeting up to go on some park runs (or street runs)? Could even get a drink or coffee afterwards.

Don't really care about level or anything, it would just be nice to socialise and chat. If it's relevant at all, I'm a writer and work in fashion/sneakers/sports style.

I’m now in a hotel in Shinsekai super close to the tower. I will be spending a month traveling around Kansai/Osaka/Wakayama on vacation and would love to meet up with people to hang out, grab some food or drinks, or just explore the city.

Am a 25 year old guy from Italy/Germany and will be in Osaka for nearly two weeks, and found out about this concert and gave a listen to the bands and seems interesting to me, so am looking if anyone would be interested in going with me there.

I love how many hip-hop/rap songs are available at most karaoke spots. Unfortunately, the people I'm singing with don't usually love it as much. It's no fun rapping along to people who don't know or appreciate the music.

Any other hip-hop heads up for an all-rap karaoke session?

I'm a 41-year-old American living in Osaka. My favorites are Beastie Boys and Tribe, but I love rapping along to Wu-Tang, Dre, Kendrick, Big Pun, Outkast, damn near anything!

We’re gonna sit there, drink some coffee/juice while doing a deep analysis of Synecdoche, New York. I say deep analysis, but will be chilling, sometimes going on tangents, and it’s not expected for you to have notes (although that would be cool!)

And if you can’t come, I still recommend you watch Synecdoche, New York. It’s really good!

Since I have a hectic schedule due to my two jobs (I'm a cook and a school assistant), I usually work late, which makes it difficult to meet after work for happy hours and such. I do have days off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though.

I like swimming and volleyball (even though I haven't done the last one since school), trying new recipes (specially things that involve fermentation) and cocktails, cycling on my mama-chari, going on long walks/light hiking, exploring old, historical buildings/ ruins/ caves, reading, going to hot springs and playing boardgames/ RPGs.

I've been living in Osaka for a while now but due to working remotely and not going to "social" places like bars, i've been having a horrible time with making friends. I’m a 31M moving to Osaka this October for a full year of Japanese language school. I’ll be based in Northern Osaka along the JR line and will be starting from square one with the language, though I’ll be studying full-time to change that.

Moving solo to a new country can be a bit isolating at first, so I’m looking to hit the ground running and connect with both locals and fellow expats.
