I will be in Osoyoos for a week at the beginning of October. I am bringing the gravel bike for this trip. LVR is on the list.

I have ridegps etc., but am curious if anyone could throw me a bone and suggest some nicer scenic rides. I don’t mind a grind, but prefer to stay off roads unless they are not busy with too many cars. 70km or under please.

I’m supposed to be taking a trip out to osoyoos on the 23rd and I have been checking the air quality map often but now I’m getting mixed reviews online about it, can anyone who’s there tell me if it’s getting better?

And just so it’s not a point of contention, I am not staying in a hotel or taking away any housing that would need to be used for an evac or anything, my family owns a house there and I will be staying at my house.

Leaving Osoyoos back to Vancouver after picking up my brother because the fires were so bad. We went through Merritt and as we drove away the smoke just stopped at a certain point. We were about to go to Penticton but the whole area is ablaze. I was also born with mild asthma but that is not the only worry. 😥

The owner of Watermark Beach Resort was on the CBC radio this morning. He said "People are swimming on beaches and eating on patios". Can healthy adults enjoy the outdoors this week?

My heart aches for the residents, pets, wildlife, human life these wildfires are causing. I just left Osoyoos on July 24th when things started to amp up. Such beautiful land.. Stay safe everyone, wishing you the best, my heart goes out to you

We were planning to go next week, but due to the air quality and the evolving fire situation and evacuation in Summerland we felt it was best to cancel. Feeling very sad, was really looking forward to visiting Osoyoos for the first time. I’ll be back for you! Stay safe everyone 💛

Not relating to the current fires, but we were thinking of spending more time in the Osoyoos area but I didn't realize the water quality was so bad with the Manganese and ag runoff. Does everyone filter their water and is it something being actively worked on by the town?

Me and my family are planning on heading down tomorrow morning to Osoyoos and staying for a couple days but we are wondering if we should cancel due to the air quality. Everything we have booked is non refundable and I’d had to have money just go down the drain like that🤦‍♂️

Hows the air quality. Ive got some young children I was planning on taking up tomorrow, however looking at the air quality reports now it seems unlikely. How is it over the lake?

I have a reservation for this Sunday until the following Friday and was really looking forward to coming! The Air quality seems so bad now, I'm not sure I can afford to spend this money to stay locked inside - this is my one trip I will be able to take this year.

We have a 1600 square foot Rancher in Gallagher Lake Village Park (halfway between Penticton and Osoyoos). Very quiet retirement community of 127 homes. Great area for dogs and we have a huge fenced dog park, and lots of trail walking.

My wife and I are travelling to stay in Osoyoos on Sunday and we’re wondering if it is okay to swim in the lake as we saw there is a high concentration of magnese online we are also wondering if this affects drinking water? Thanks so much

Currently in the process of home shopping in Osoyoos and need help figuring out if it’s even possible to secure a long term lease on a boat slip.

We have been back & forth about whether to buy somewhere that includes a slip but maybe not all the lifestyle amenities we would want vs somewhere with those amenities but no boat slip.

Heading to osoyoos next week and haven't been for a few years. I read there is a bar down on the beach called the cantina. If it's on the beach how do you get down there in the evening, we are staying at the resort. There is a shuttle to the beach during the day i think but do they run in the evenings?

Visiting in late July for my birthday, hoping to have a nice classy dinner and go out dancing after looking for a 21+ demographic for any kind of bar/lounge where theres good tunes and a dance floor ☺️ thanks in advance! any other recommendations for any kind of excursions or outings for 21+ y/o couple would be lovely too!

I’m looking to get from Hope to Osoyoos (well, Vaseaux Lake, actually) in mid-August but don’t have a car. Has anyone made the trip from Hope or the valley somewhere up to Osoyoos area without a car? How did you do it? The Internet keeps telling me I have to get to Vancouver and spend 15 hours bussing up. There has to be a better way, right?

Will be in Osoyoos in July which happens to be on my birthday. Any suggestions for good restaurants, haven't been there in about 6 years. Is there a good Japanese? Other than that any other options, we aren't fussy on the type of food as long as its good!
