I never said that; I’m simply tired of the repetitive discussions surrounding the character Venture. They are perfectly normal, yet people have focused too much on two elements: their appearance and their voice lines. Their look is objectively standard: a coat and a chipped tooth, though some find it ugly; honestly, we really shouldn't care about that opinion. The voice lines are more open to debate, as we always end up arguing about what their character boils down to (something that could be said about plenty of Overwatch 2/Overwatch 2.0 heroes). By now, it feels like merely mentioning them is akin to summoning the devil, when at worst, it’s just a case of weak writing.

If people have a problem, that's their problem. You can't just ignore and hide away a character in order to appease some whiny bigots who would honestly just find something else to cry about anyway. Basically, they are going to play a tabletop game like Dungeons & Dragons live on stage. Matt Mercer (the voice actor for Cassidy) will act as the 'Game Master' who narrates and controls the story, while four other Overwatch voice actors sit at a table, roll dice, and play through a fantasy adventure entirely in-character as their heroes.

They picked Mercer to run it because for ten years he hosted a popular web series called Critical Role doing exactly this, so he has years of professional experience guiding live tabletop games.

I wonder who the four players will be? Some of them have D&D experience and/or have been on Critical Role. I assume that they'll have four good-aligned characters who wouldn't be too strenuous to voice for a bit in a live setting. I'd love to see Darin De Paul there, but voicing Reinhardt non-stop for an hour or so would probably be hell on his throat.

An additional information: on this image you see two 12 sided dices with different colors. It's a hope die and a fear die. Mercer's team made their own ttrg-s and they operate with these dices so they'll use their own system. I think it will be Daggerheart.

I had the same thought, only thing that threw me off was the yellow/silver, and my brain was thinking that Daggerheart's colors are Yellow/Purple... And then I remembered Overwatch's colors are White/Silver and Yellow/Orange. So that's on me x.x
