This is a new MEGATHREAD intended to hold all posts regarding the creation, use, and support of apps related to GLP1, weight, diet, activity, et al management.
We are getting absolutely bombarded with vibe coded apps and this will help try to give these apps space to do their thing, but keep it contained.
I made a new rule (Rule 10) to indicate the preferred use of MEGATHREAD(s) for certain topics. If you see app promotion/engagement posts or comments, please feel free to report them and we will take a look.
If you have other suggestions for MEGATHREADS please send a message to the moderators

I noticed that there was a yellow substance on the Ozempic pen tip when I took it out of the fridge today. This is the 1mg pen and I only used the Ozempic pen once. I noticed there was a yellow substance on top of the pen and I could not pop it so I threw it away. Does this mean that the Ozempic has gone bad?
I just switched from the 1mg single dose to the 2mg single dose, but this is what arrived from mail order pharmacy. This doesn't look right does it? it says delivers in .25/.5 increments. shouldn't say delivers in 2mg increments? I don't want to open it in case it needs to all be returned. I still have my 1mg pens so I have a little time to fix this if its a prescription mistake.

The past three months since starting I’ve lost 13.6lbs. I’ve mainly been focusing on just adjusting mentally as my body adjusts physically with the side effects that have now for the most part gone away.
Now I’m ready to lock-in and focus on calorie/macro counting and exercise. I struggle with breakfast though - what do you guys eat? I need to eat breakfast since I wake up ravenous and will let it go too long while at work that I feel sick.
So what breakfasts might fill me up but not entirely screw over my tracking for the day. I have a smaller intake from the medication but the food noise lately has ramped back up - hoping this switches as I go up in my dose next week.
Thanks :)
I just want to give a quick update on my short journey since February. Last February I got admitted to my local hospital due to not being able to breathe. Come to find out I had diabetes type 2 and my glucose was at a 798 when they took me in. Yes , that high. I weighed 337 as well that day.
Long story short I started with insulin and metformin but they were messing my stomach up so bad I was shitting myself multiple times randomly without having time to go to the restroom. I asked if I could be put on ozempic and since my insurance covers it 100% so why not.
First month was weird. I threw up multiple times, my food wasn’t getting digested properly. I could not consume anything greasy or I would have the worst stomach ache and throw up a few hours later. I would also get randoms headaches etc. The usual side effects we all know. Over time my body got used to it and now I’m normal like nothing ever happened.
Except I’m actually doing better. I don’t get hungry like I used to, I don’t overeat anymore. My glucose is controlled to the point where I don’t even check it but maybe once a week. I’m more aware of what I eat and avoid sugar as much as possible. I do still eat my ice cream cone once a week or so but not daily.
Results:
In February my weight was at 337 when admitted to the hospital.
Now in August today I weight 266. I got more energy and most importantly my diabetes is super under control. I also started wearing clothes in my closet that still had tags from 3 years ago. Insane. This is not just ozempic, I do exercise 4 times a week and eat better than I used to.
If you are starting this journey, don’t give up. I had all hopes lost my first two months. I just didn’t stop over fear of going back to the hospital or the grave.
Keep at it! It gets better.
Hi all!
I just got prescribed Ozempic today. I am 79kg 167cm (174lbs, 5’6) and my doctor recommended a starting dose of 0.25mg with the 1mg pen. She said I take 0.25 for two weeks and then up my dosage to 0.5 and continue that way, considering my weight isn’t too high, I am just overweight.
I’m still very new to this as I wasn’t expecting this prescription, for context I have a history of type 2 diabetes and PCOS, everything is fine now and I’m healthy because I am a very active person with muscle mass so I have no issues except my big weight oscilation, I’m always losing and gaining and losing and gaining and it’s a never ending cycle 😖 and I’m very unhappy and have low self esteem.
I’m curious if there is anyone who is like me, not obese, not really fat and not skinny/thin either who started Ozempic, because I feel like it’s such a specific reason. My apetite is uncontrollable and I’m lowkey thinking I’m bordering with binge eating disorder. My question is will 0.25 and 0.5 be enough? Is apetite loss guarranteed? Should I still lift heavy weights and track my calories or will I just not want to eat at all? Please give me your advice and experiences, I have scrolled through this subreddit but knowing more would be nice 😊
Also, I took the first needle today and I’m doing the click counting thing. The number went to 0 and I left the needle in for 10secs like recommended, but the liquid didn’t move at all/the pen is full so I’m wondering did I maybe do something wrong?? I injected close to my belly button on the right. I hope everything is ok 🫶 please share your advice/stories in the comments and thank you ❤️

Hello,
So tomorrow will be my 4th week on Ozempic .25mg and I am feeling pretty good. I am just wondering what is considered a good amount of weight loss for 4 weeks? I weighed myself at the start and i was 202 and I now weigh 195.
I am pretty happy with this so far (of course you always wish the process was faster), but will my rate of loss increase when I go up to .5mg?
Is my rate of loss currently considered normal? I also don’t exercise because of a chronic condition so I’m fairly sedentary.
If anyone is willing to share their experience with Ozempic .25mg, I’d love to hear it.

The title sums it up. I had my wedding ring cut off because it was cutting off my circulation after gaining weight. I tried it on a couple of months ago and it still didn't fit. I just gave it a try again, fully expecting it to not quite fit still... and it does.
I cried. A lot. Of all the benefits to my weight loss, especially how fun it is to buy clothes now... this one somehow hit my right in the feelings. I just could not believe it. Same weekend that I fit in my first size small (to be fair I think it was sized a little big) in 2 decades.
So many benefits to my body and soul... but this one was really, really happy.

Heart transplant recipient & diabetic, I’m at week 5 on Ozempic to lower blood sugar and to improve heart/kidney health.
Can anyone report success in those areas? How long did it take to see results?

I’m currently taking tirzepatide, I’ve been researching side affects and want to loose weight appropriately and as healthy as possible. Is this a good combination or is it too overlapping and excessive ?

For a while I didn't want to start the drug because I thought it was too expensive. I wasn't worth it. I didn't need it, really, did I?
Well I heard about generic bringing down the price and finally decided to give it a try. It's been a few weeks... but something I noticed made me wish I started sooner. I pay $150 a month for Ozempic... and previously I was EASILY spending $100 a week on fast food / take out / uber eats. Since starting the drug over two weeks ago, I've spent less than $30 total on food outside of the grocery store as I feel fuller longer and don't crave the carbs and sugar that I've craved most of my entire life. By spending that $150/month, I'm on track to save $200/month.
If you're reading this and considering Ozempic but hesitant because of the financial implications it may have on your life... I guess I just say... How much money are you spending on unhealthy food right now? It may not be as scary as it sounds.
That's all :)

Is there anyone who experiences extreme bloating, gas and sulphuric burps the day or two before your next shot. I never have anything the days after the shot it’s just the days leading up to it. I had this issue last week and again this week however it’s much worse than last. Im on 1mg and have been on for 4 weeks now.

Happy days!!!! What a great way to start the week 🙌 .
Canadian here.
Went to get my refill today and was told only a small portion of it would be covered by my extended medical because I had reached the plan maximum for the year.
A while back I filled in the coupon form available from Novo Nordisk thinking I wouldn't need it. Well, today I did.
It covered all but $1.23 and my pharmacy told me not to worry about that either.
If you're paying out of pocket, seriously, spend the 3 minutes and fill out the form on their site.

Hi! I’m trying to figure out whether anyone else experienced menstrual changes after starting Mounjaro/Ozempic, because the timing with mine is really strange.
My periods were pretty predictable before starting GLP-1 medication, and then almost immediately after starting, my cycle became weird.
My period/cycle timeline:
July 3–5: normal period
My tracker predicted my fertile window around July 12–18, with predicted ovulation around July 17
July 23: I took my first-ever GLP-1 injection — Mounjaro 2.5 mg
July 27: I started spotting
My tracker also shows additional bleeding/spotting entries around July 29–30
July 31–August 2: I had another actual period/bleeding episode
So I essentially had one period starting July 3 and another starting July 31, meaning I had menstrual bleeding twice during the same calendar month, right around when I started GLP-1 medication.
I only used Mounjaro once and then switched to Ozempic.
Complete medication timeline:
July 23 — Mounjaro 2.5 mg
July 29 — Ozempic 0.25 mg ← first Ozempic injection
August 3 — Ozempic 0.25 mg
August 9 — Ozempic 0.5 mg
August 17 — Ozempic 0.5 mg
August 28 at around 9 PM - Ozempic 0.25 mg
My dr reduced myself back to 0.25 mg after the two 0.5 mg doses because 0.5 was much stronger for me. I was getting significant appetite suppression, very low energy, going long periods without eating, and generally felt much better on 0.25 mg.
After the period that started July 31, my tracker predicted another fertile window around August 10–16, with ovulation around August 15.
Based on my previous cycle pattern, I would have expected my next period around August 28–31.
It is now September 1 and I still have no period.
So if July 31 is cycle day 1, today is approximately cycle day 33.
For additional context, I have had sex but I use condoms, and I am not relying on oral hormonal birth control.
Because I was getting anxious about the missing period, I’ve taken multiple pregnancy tests:
August 30: 3 negative tests
August 31: another negative test using first-morning urine
September 1: another negative first-morning urine test
So that’s 5 negative home pregnancy tests, including tests taken after the period was expected.
I really like my results on Ozempic and would prefer to stay on it, especially at 0.25 mg, but having my menstrual cycle suddenly become unpredictable really bothers me.
I’m especially curious about people who had regular cycles before starting semaglutide/tirzepatide:
Did Ozempic or Mounjaro make your period come early, cause spotting, delay ovulation, or make your next cycle longer?
Did this happen during your first 1–3 months and then settle down?
Did your periods eventually return to their normal schedule while you continued taking Ozempic?
And if your period was delayed after starting it, how late did it eventually come?
I’m mainly looking for people’s actual experiences because I’d really like to keep taking Ozempic without my cycle becoming permanently irregular.

Started in November 2025 at 272 (I can’t believe that now) and this morning I’m at 212 and tugging my shorts up all the time because I need a smaller size. At 5’9” I’m not svelte, but I feel great and seeing myself in the mirror still astonishes me. And my A1c is 5.6, down from a high of 8.2 (gulp).

Am on OZ now for the 7th week, 0,5mg. 1,92m 116kg.
For noise was my biggest problem. I’d constantly dwell on what to eat next.
The noise has gone down, and my hunger basically doesn’t exist anymore. Also, I can’t eat as large portions anymore. If I eat too fast, or too much, I feel super full afterwards for hours.
So, the medication works.
What I can’t stop yet however is snacking on sweets.
Once my family grabs that bag of M&Ms, I’m also in there. Not terrible, but I do notice that I’m still able to continuously snack while not eating large meals.
Is this something I can expect to get reduced going to 1mg?

Started ozempic last Wed at .25 for weight loss. I had a persistent headache and pretty bad nausea all the way until Sunday. Finally it lifted today. I'm up for my second dose in a couple days, but I leave for a trip to a cabin the day after. It's pretty rustic, although there is a communal, plumbed bathroom on the property. It's a very social trip, not some sort of r+r vacation.
Should I just skip? Maybe split my dose? I'm concerned the second shot is going to be even worse because it will be building upon my first. I feel anxious not being at home to deal with it. But I also don't know if pausing this early into things is a good idea either?

So…. I started 6 months ago with .25mg per week. Then I went to .5mg and now I’ve been on 1mg per week for 2 months. Metformin is down to 500mg daily.
Biggest thing that I still notice is I get full very fast and usually have no appetite. I really haven’t noticed any other side effects.
I have lost no weight. I’m still around 310-313lbs. I’m not discouraged just a bit confused and disappointed and so is my wife lol.
I probably just need to get serious about my diet instead of half-assing it. Biggest change I’ve done is my portion size is smaller and I don’t seek out sugar like I used to. Regular sodas taste too sweet now, for example.
What am I missing?

I started ozempic two months ago. I started at 205lbs and I weighed in today at 192.5lbs today- a 12.5lb loss in two months. This has been on 0.5 dose.
It’s very encouraging! I’m going to go up a dose to 0.75 next week for a few weeks.
I don’t see it in my body yet but I can feel it! Is this decent/typical progress?

Hi there,
I started 1 mg on Saturday. I was on 0.25 mg for the first 4 weeks, then 0.5 mg for the next 4 weeks, and now I’ve moved up to 1 mg.
I was completely fine on 0.25 and 0.5 mg. I didn’t really have any side effects, and I also didn’t notice a huge change in my appetite.
But after taking the 1 mg shot, I started getting really nasty sulfur burps. I took the shot on Saturday after lunch, and after that I basically didn’t feel hungry for the rest of the day at all.
On Sunday, I still had absolutely no appetite. I hadn’t eaten anything all day, so mentally I kept thinking, “I should probably eat something because I haven’t eaten all day.” Even though I wasn’t hungry, I ate a small amount. I got full extremely quickly and felt uncomfortable the whole night. It almost felt like the food was just sitting somewhere in my food pipe instead of going down into my stomach.
I woke up today still feeling the same way, and then I vomited. What surprised me is that I seemed to throw up food I had eaten much earlier.
So I’m a little confused about how I’m supposed to approach eating when the medication suppresses my appetite this much. Am I supposed to just not eat if I genuinely don’t feel hungry? My brain is telling me that I need to eat because I haven’t eaten anything, but when I do eat, it feels like my body doesn’t tolerate it.
Has anyone experienced something similar after increasing to 1 mg?
