Weight Should I try Ozempic?

I was just able to loose 15 pounds and I am aiming to loose 20 lbs or 25 more. It took me a year to loose 15 naturally with exercise and diet. My co worker is using ozempic. Should I give it a try or do you think it will make the pcos worse? Am I loosing time by loosing weight slower ? If I use ozempic am I loosing my butt and boobs? How much should I loose to get rid of my pcos forever ? Has anyone tried naturally loosing weight and ozempic ?

You've already dropped 15 pounds the hard way, that's not nothing. Ozempic might speed things up but it won't cure PCOS, no amount of weight loss fully erases it. If you're worried about losing curves, rapid loss tends to hit those areas first, slower gives your skin more time to adjust.

Thanks for cheering me up! I Am always told by doctors to loose weight even when my BMI was very regular in between. They said it would help the PCOS but I don’t know how or why.

I lost about 25 pound before getting in it and only about 10 since starting a micro dose about a year ago. I never got on it to lose weight, just to help the pcos symptoms. It’s the ONLY thing that keeps my period showing up every 30 days. It also is the only thing that keeps my inflammation low. I can’t understand why people in this sub are still demonizing the only med that addresses the root cause of these issues. Blood sugar issues causing health issues is literally what the drugs were intended to aid with.

Losing weight naturally or a GLP-1 both valid options. Having PCOS (especially if your insulin resistant like me) & losing weight naturally can take longer, but theres nothing wrong with that bc its not a race! I personally lost 10 pounds naturally over the course of a little over a year & decided I didnt want to work twice as hard for half the results of someone who doesnt have the same issues (that being PCOS) so I started zepbound. To answer your questions:

1- Only you can decide if you want to keep going the natural route or GLP route.

2- Maybe? But time doesn’t matter. As long as you are happy working towards a healthier version of yourself, that’s all that matters; no matter how long that takes

3- Possibly. A lot of women report those are the first things to go 😅 but as long as you stay on top of glutes, you should be able to keep your booty!

4- You cannot get rid of PCOS. It is a hormonal disorder & you have it for life, no matter how much weight you lose. Losing weight can help manage symptoms, but that’s not always the case.

5- Yes, I tried losing weight naturally before I started zepbound.

I would never recommend using a drug even if youre gaining or losing. You have done quite well in this year, and I think you can do more by just maintaining the natural diet.

I mean see ariana or dwayne jonson. Well, haha. Youre smart enough.

Would you say the same to someone using statins to lower their genetically high cholesterol? Why is weight any different specially when it's due to a metabolic dysfunction like insulin resistance?

Mmm 🤨 I’m thinking that ozempic might have unknown side effects. That is why I am also hesitant.

Side effects are there, but also if you can have that no fear for body dysmorphia you can try a dose, just to check. Basically what it does is, it reduces your urge of being hungry so automatically the weight will reduce and you will also feel heavy just by taking small amount of food during the day.

Ahh 1 more thing, the COST.
