General/Advice WAXING ADVICE (first time)

hey everyone!

i've waxed before, but i used a kmart brand and another no brand one it was pretty shit, i'm wondering if anyone (particularly any that are easy access to aussie's) have any recs for good hard wax + wax pots that worked for you?

just wondering if there are any in-store options, or even amazon or somewhere that ships to australia if you aren't in aus!

for context i have thick, course black hair and need something strong enough to grip thick stubborn leg / arm hair. pls help!

I can't recall where I bought my pot, but I've used Hi Lift wax beads for years with no issues, stubborn hairs and all.

You can get hard wax in a melting pot from Chemist Warehouse. But if you're doing it regularly, just invest in salon quality wax and a pot, it will last you for ever.

Hive is what my salon uses, just make sure it's the hard wax

What was the issue you had with the kmart one? I have PCOS and use a Kmart pot and it's actually been really great for face and body.

it wasn't 1000% bad but i noticed it left patches of hair and irritated my skin quite a bit, i followed proper technique but the scent and just the irritation set me off it!

The scent can be pretty strong! I'd probably keep the warmer but trial different wax! Alternatively, I did like sugar wax for my legs!

i've also used sugar wax but it's very time consuming compared to long strips of hard wax!! sugar wax was good tho !!
