This is now the place for local sales of golf equipment. Please practice common sense. Do not put yourself into a dangerous situation. Please don't be a jerk.

Hey everyone,
Our team is looking for one more golfer to round out our foursome for a charity scramble on Friday, September 18th at a great local course in the area.
We’re definitely not looking to break records—just having a good time supporting a local non-profit for foster youth and attempting to avoid bogey golf😂.
About The Team:
It’ll be myself (30s M), another guy in his 30s, and my father (60s). We’re pretty relaxed, easygoing, and looking forward to a solid afternoon on the course.
The Details:
Cost: $200 per player. This covers your golf, cart, drinks on the course, a box lunch, and a full buffet dinner/awards program afterwards.
Schedule: Friday, Sept 18 | Check-in & lunch at 11:30 AM, Shotgun start at 1:00 PM (wraps up with dinner around 5:45 PM – 8:00 PM).
Vibe: Casual and relaxed. Standard golf attire works fine.
Before the event:
Since we’ll be spending the afternoon together, I’d love to connect beforehand so we aren't total strangers on the first tee. I have access to a local golf simulator and would be happy to host a quick session (or grab a drink) prior to the tournament to hit a few balls and introduce ourselves.
If you're free on the 18th and down to join us, shoot me a DM!

Did you forgot your water bottle at Sah-Hah-Lee today? If you did... I turned it in at the clubhouse up top. Just tell them the color and any stickers on it.

This weekend I played in the Presidents Cup at oga in Woodburn. it's a Ryder Cup format and on Sunday we had individual match play. My handicap is 12.3 the gentleman I played against I had to give him 36 strokes for 18 holes I ended up shooting an 85 and still lost pretty frustrating. At what point do you put a cap on handicaps or make them play at an 18 has anyone ever experienced anything like that?

Are there any Portland area courses that are chill about when you get carts back in the evening? I’ve always had Glendoveer be alright with keeping carts out until it’s too dark to play. Any others? (Opposite: Heron Lakes—wants even walkers out by official sunset.)
EDIT: I am NOT asking where I can scofflaw the cart return times. I am asking which courses have later cart return times.

Hey ya’ll!
I’m heading up to Portland in a couple weeks. I’m trying to get 2-3 rounds in. I’ll be staying in Beaverton/Aloha area. Looking for course recommendations.
I’m a single digit handicap caddie from Las Vegas. I may end up solo one or two rounds, and may end up playing with my 20 handicap step-dad.
Let me know, thanks!

Does anyone know where I can get this done locally?
I made an appointment with Ben from the Tour Van and he recommended this.
I cannot find anyone locally.
Trying to determine my stats to help me decide on a new putter, but I am looking for specific stats to help me decide which putter shape, neck etc.
Thanks in advance!

Has anyone here used Golf Tec for lessons? I’m a semi beginner, looking to improve my fundamentals, and there is a Golf Tec near my house.
Good? Bad? Indifferent?

I was just wondering if anyone here is going to play in the Portland Metro Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble tournament at the Reserve September 14th?
You don’t need to be a Chamber member to play but it makes it a little cheaper . I don’t have any partners to play in it or know anyone in the Chamber personally yet, but I did just become a member. I a 14-16 handicap, right now it’s a 14.9 and would love to meet some members ( or non members) interested in forming a 4 some for this tournament.
Or is there anyone who played it before and needs a plus 1 or knows a group who needs a plus 1?
Seems like a pretty nice and big event.
Plus it’s always nice to golf at the Reserve and then there’s also the bonus networking part!
Thanks!

I’m 34 and live in NW Portland (Slabtown). I work from home and I’ve been tempted to join a club for a couple years but haven’t pulled the trigger. It’s hard to justify the cost when clubs like Columbia edgewater and PGC are 20-30 minutes away, worse with traffic. Not sure I’d get the actual value (really just care about the golf and golf facilities) if I can’t pop over quickly before or after work for a quick 9 a couple times a week. Anyone been in a similar situation or joined a club in the past few years with thoughts?

I can't recommend it enough. 25$ minimum crowds, you are right on the action when you are there. The players are ungodly good. The Leaderboard is tight as well. Going to be a fun Sunday

Hi all, Florida golfer here that is making a trip over to Beaverton, Oregon the week of Aug 24. Arriving Monday night and have all day Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon to play golf… (still not enough time) Would appreciate any recommendations as my long time playing partner and I have around 7/8 handicaps. Don’t mind spending a little coin and driving towards Bandon dunes. Also wouldn’t mind any playing partners if people are available.
Heard that if I pester the clubhouse for Bandon that there could possibly be cancellations? Don’t know how true that is and or if I would be an a**hole for that?
TIA

Does anyone know if collared shirts are required at Camas Meadows? The website doesn’t say specifically.

Hi Team,
It's my last day off before starting a new job, I'm looking for a fun 18 as a treat myself moment before another school year of hard work.
I'm torn between The Reserve South, or Pumpkin Ridge. I've played neither before. For context I'm a 24ish handicap, and in the midst of my second year playing. I don't mind challenge, but also would love to not get murdered. Which one is the one to go with?

Was wondering where I can find a range that I can hit from grass and not turf?
Thanks-
