The YouTube comment section is wild. I loved the first game. Still haven't tried this one yet. And once again it seems like waiting was the best choice. 2.0 update to fix issues plus more dlc. Did the exact same thing with crimson desert and now I get to experience the enhanced version from the get go.

I bought the second one without ever playing the first just cause I was itching for something soulslike to play. Got through about 75% and just stopped playing one day. Still never went back. It's fine I guess. The open world portion is extremely empty, enemy variety falls off hard very early on as you are fighting the same normal mobs from the beginning in end game, combat is serviceable but pretty basic, and I honestly couldn't tell you one major memorable boss. I would definitely suggest waiting for a sale. If you do want to check out an anime style soulslike I highly suggest AI Limit. Was very surprised with how much I enjoyed it.

I bought the “ultimate edition” of the first game during a sale and holy shit it’s awful. Movement, combat, visuals. All atrocious. How this game received a sequel is beyond me.
