Income certification processing time

90-day notice landed 60 days ago, so I’m down to about 30 days. Coming out of SAVE, planning to submit the week after Labor Day. I also have PSLF history (pre 2021) and just started a new PSLF-eligible job. My service is Mohela.

A few things I’m trying to figure out:

If you submitted recently, how long did it take before you saw a confirmation?

Does getting the application in before the deadline protect you, or does it actually have to be processed by then?

Anyone certified employment for a new employer lately? Curious how long that’s running.

Mainly trying not to get dumped into Standard because my application was still in the queue. Is three weeks enough runway?

Right now ED says expect delays of 90 days or longer for an IDR request to be processed.

As far as we know but then again ED hasn't clarified/confirmed what will happen. It wouldn't surprise me if people then convert to a general forbearance. You're only allowed 36 months. If you haven't used them, that would obviously be fine but it would go towards that number. If you have used them, well you could be stuck with a standard plan until the IDR request is processed.

NOW, do I know for sure this is what will happen? Nope. It's a guess which I could totally be wrong about and others may even have different thoughts.

With all that said, there are tons waiting until day 89. They don't care what happens. They're not submitting prior to that.

I honestly don't think we'll know what is going to happen until October gets here and I'm not even sure things will be clear at that point.
