Dreamcast V2 Save file transfer

I was playing PSO on Flycast and I’m trying to transfer the save file to my VMU now that I have a Dreamcast. I’ve converted the save files to every possible file and built a CDI and every time I try to transfer it doesn’t even bother to download. I’ve used every tool I can find, all the way back to some from 03-06 and still nothing. Does anybody know of a way to fix this?

I remember people couldn't use their old files anymore when they changed their consoles. A broken mainboard meant you couldn't use your characters you've build using this console anymore.

Iirc original savefiles had the consoles serial number contained in some sort.

Maybe there is a way today to find out a dreamcast serialnumber, open the save file in some kind of editor and replace this bit of data. I'm not deep enough into it, but it could be a start to investigate for you.

Maaaan. I appreciate it. I’m not gonna look into it, today. I’ve been trying to figure it out for 2 days. I may just restart
