Stroller Recommendations (2under2)

We will have two kids approximately 20 months apart. We currently have regular strollers but assume we will need a double stroller - is that accurate or will a 20 month old want to walk everywhere? If recommending a double stroller… any recommendations for ones that can grow with the baby (ie isnt just a car seat and a bench seat)? TYIA!

Have you considered a wagon? I prefer them over strollers so thought id throw it out there as a recommendation.

• baby/kids can lay flat for naps

• kids can reposition legs/bodies for comfort

• high sides keep snacks/toys/blankets in the wagon. With ours, one side unzips so the wagon can be used as a bench seat, which was convenient.

• more versatile, you can use it for more than just the kids. We used it for 3 kids, now we mostly use it just to carry stuff, like to the pool or at hotels.

bombi or zoe twin i love side by sides
joie chive is good option too when i just have the baby and dont need the double
don’t do the mockingbird its so heavy and i barely used it and now im having the hardest time selling it so probably just going to give it away

You’re going to need a stroller, especially if you’re wanting to leave the house with the kids by yourself. My twins and youngest are 20 months apart so a wagon was our lifesaver for coffee/target outings.

Favorite side by side is the Baby Jogger City Mini or the Baby Jogger City Tour. Both are similar styles but have a few differences. Another one is a jogging stroller just because they glide so smooth on any terrain, downside is it is a bit heavier. BOB is the preferred jogging stroller, Thule and Guava are getting a bit more popular as well. Favorite lightweight stroller is the Zoe Twin, it’s lightweight and has a higher weight capacity at 60-65lbs if I recall.

Favorite preferred tandem (front/back) was the Joovy Qool. The seats were both the same size and made more sense than compared to the Uppa Baby. Price was, Joovy had more bang for your buck as well with the accessories like adapters. Mockingbird is a great one as well.

Whatever you do, definitely look on marketplace for double strollers because a lot of the brands I’ve mentioned have great resale value and sometimes people will sell way below market value like the BOB (new $800+, I’ve seen them go $100-150 sometimes) or Baby Jogger (new $500-700, I’ve seen them sell for $100-250) strollers.
