Unlike our national passport which I regard as one of the most beautiful set of inner pages among passports of the world, both without and with UV, the inner pages for this document is pretty boring, great wall everywhere, and a seashell on the data page

It has document code PM which according to ICAO 9303 stands for "Military passport". Historically speaking (I can discuss more about its history), it's more like China's passport for public affairs, which nowadays uses PP document code.

And something is definitely lost in translation: this document is both a passport and a Seafarer's Identity Document. China's 船员服务簿, which was translated into "Seafarer's Identity Document", is actually the Continous Discharge Book.

And while it is issued by China MSA, it is probably produced alongside with NIA passport machines, and the NFC chip reads NIA as the issuer.

I'm really impressed by the immigration process at JFK. Don't know if it was just luck but it just took 25 minutes from touchdown to entering the AirTrain towards Jamaica.

The CBP guy was really nice, just asked some chill questions and admitted me for the full 90 days even though this was only an 8 hour layover. He stamped me without request and put it right in the middle of a brand new passport 😅😭

Customs was really nice as well and just asked two questions.

I had a flight a few days after the Nepal earthquake of 2015. My flight never showed up so I went back out. I didn't know exit stamps could be cancelled or that there is a special stamp to cancel them.

Also eligible for Spanish citizenship, which I need to apply for at some point.
