I see a lot of dance covers of Perfume songs, and most of them are not very good.

I understand that most people are not professionally trained and only do dance covers for fun but compared to Kpop dance covers, they look wonky.

Is it because the dance moves are really hard, or is it mainly because Kpop's influence is so large that the less skilled covers get buried and streaming sites only show me the good ones?

Hi, if anyone out there is interested still, my Perfume Deep dive youtube series has reached part 4, taking in Cosmic Explorer, Future Pop and P Cubed.

A weird era to be sure, and probably my least favourite so far, but we weren’t left wanting for concert releases, there were so many! It felt weird to go from the Cosmic era having Gurun Gurun, Cosmic Explorer, 3:5:6:9, World Tour 3rd, We Are Perfume… and then the Future Pop era just having some singles and the tour and that’s it!

Some fantastic live shows though (and some real duds - Gurun Gurun and FP’s Total Eclipse of the Nocchi for starters).

Anyway hope you like, sorry it ended up long! I don’t think the Plasma/Nebula era will be as long!

My personal ranking of them would be Level 3, complete best, game, jpn, plasma, Triangle, cosmic, future pop and i exclude nebula romance parts due to it not being a sound im interested in unfortunetly...

I kind of consider cling cling single and sweet refrain to be their own wee mini era due to them being quite different than cosmic explorer. I really love them ❤️ I would put them in front of jpn.

I really wish they could see the potential outside of Asia and release it in America or Europe as well,,, anywhere for that matter ! With no dvd (to my knowledge) release announced, so many people have not been able to see it despite it being so important to Perfume culture rn! I wish they would at least announce screenings in Korea too..

Ive been wanting to create a playlist w/o relying on shuffiling all the time as i just keep skipping songs constantly. I wonder what songs you think have good transitions. So far i love "hurly burly" into "i still love you" , "Display" into capsule "jelly" and "never let me go" by capsule into "fake it".

It doesnt need to be strictly perfume songs into perfume.

Recently updated my collection with some rarer items (pics attached) and started my display! I have quite a few swap outs that I’m trying to clear out if possible. They’re either purchased directly in Japan (I go somewhat regularly) or were part of my collection and purchased online from Japan through official sites (i.e. CDJapan) over the years. I wasn’t sure how to phrase it, but have you ever re-tooled an album’s playlist to help the flow, and/or add different B-sides or remixes?

I’ve never really been into it, I’d rather just take the album as intended… but my recent cosmic exploration has really made me want to fiddle with that album. I haven’t made it yet but I think I’d replace Cling Cling and Flash’s single versions, add Display, Toumei Ningen and Ijiwaruna Hello, and maybe… remove a few tracks?

It's not like I didn't want to post or anything, but I received two strikes on the same date a while ago, (some of you might remember) and one of them was from a Japanese station's lawyer! I panicked so hard I was playing it safe and didn't know what to post… The strikes are now gone!
