WWII Facts for Everyone

  • 75-80% of German casualties occurred on the Eastern Front
  • 25 million Soviets vs 300,000 American war deaths occurred
  • both the Battle of Kursk AND the Battle of Stalingrad were each independently larger than all western front battles combined
  • the Soviet Union faced off against 70% of Hitler’s army for years during Op Barbarossa

I’m American. I’m pretty sure most of us who have even a passing understanding of WW2 know the efforts we put in were mostly in the pacific theater. I’d replace “Americans” with “uneducated MAGA yokels” and not have any arguments.

It’s fucking stupid and disrespectful to not appreciate everyone and everything that contributed, and pretend like one aspect deserves anymore respect or honor.
