That newspaper hates Kate Middleton so they want to tie her to a hospital where a porn star gave birth to try and make her look bad by association.

I figured they just mentioned a random famous person who also gave birth there.

Consciously that's what the editor did, that's how he would explain it.

But the idea is to associate things in people's minds. If you can put bonnie blue and Kate Middleton in the same sentence then you create a connection between the two in people's minds, a very weak connection but it doesn't need to be any stronger.

Keir Starmer looked at the bunny rabbits. That sentence on its own gives a positive impression of Keir starmer, we don't know anything else other than there's Keir starmer and there's bunny rabbits, he could have hated bunny rabbits, but it doesn't matter, what matters is the mental connections formed in your mind and logically you associate bunny rabbits with happiness and niceness so you associate Keir starmer with those things too, not by much, but it doesn't need to be by much. Because this happens with every single editorial decision whether conscious or subconsciously

I took the association to be: Kate Middleton = royalty, of high distinction vs Bonnie Blue = depravity, of both low social and moral distinction.

The idea being Bonnie Blue's depravity is being amplified and she's dirtying the temporal space they shared.

Or they want to improve Bonnie's name by associating her with Kate

Yeah naw. That's not how those shit-spreading papers work.

Right, that’s the assumption I’d go with than the reply you’re replying to.

UK media is just deranged. I thought it was only the sports journos that are crazy but it looks like they are all crazy that side lmao.

Which is silly for many reasons but also because it is the hospital where Diana gave birth and the papers love to pretend that they did nothing but praise her.

St Mary's Hospital, I was born there, along with everyone else in the surrounding area. It's a public hospital.

I'm not at all familiar with all the UK Royal family stuff, but isn't Kate the one that is liked by the English press, while the other one is hated?

They hate them both. Kate's nickname in the press was Waity Katie because Prince William supposedly kept her waiting too long for a ring and she didn't leave.

I thought they were trying to make Bonnie look bad

probably that, but still weird, as it implies the hospital only treat patients related to each other by association.

Why would the Daily Star hate a racist royal?
