I believe this is an elaborate reference to the Book House of Leaves. It uses that same two typeface style with the typeface depending on the author plus the word house is always in blue.

Hey there, Peter Navidson Griffin here. This is a reference to the book House of Leaves, which is about a family moving into a house that's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. The whole book is formatted like this. I guess someone at XKCD wondered what it would be like if an IHOP was like the titular House, and I don't blame em. Those are some of the best pancakes I've ever had.
