We want prices to rise, just not too quickly.

My groceries are 2.6x times their 2018 value. It's too late for the "not too quickly" part.

Only if wages rise accordingly and they haven't got a LONG time

We had real wage growth vs inflation by the end of Biden's term, but now everything's screwed up again.

Children earnestly think 2 years is a "long time."

Huh? Wages haven't tracked with inflation for decades

Where? In the US, median wages have mostly outpaced inflation throughout the past few decades.

We want wages to rise as fast as prices.

Faster, actually...

Rising prices are meaningless. That's just greed.

What we want are increases in efficiency. Which would lower costs...

I actually would rather prices come down some

Everyone would, but in reality, we have to think about the cause-and-effect that leads to changes in prices.

Prices don’t just go down for no reason. They go down because either the supply of something increases and/or the demand for something decreases.

In a world of finite resources, we can’t always rely on supply increases, so in reality, widespread deflation would be due to decreases in demand. Decreases in demand would be largely due to less discretionary spending for most people, which would likely be due to lower wages and/or high unemployment.

If people have jobs and are making good money, that keeps prices growing because it keeps demand high.

No, we don’t. The government wants it. It is inflation tax all over again. Deflation can be natural, check the prices of renting videos back in the 90s and compare to nowadays in streaming. Deflation is “bad” to the ones who own money. Guess who is the #1? Exactly. The government… they will “pay” you through inflation. This is why people force into your mind “a little bit of inflation is good”. Roman Empire literally broke thanks to inflation melting other metals in their coins. But history repeats itself and the people will never learn.

They try to force that into your mind because it's correct and basic economics. I don't know how comparing two completely different things is supposed to disprove that.
