But even according to the article you cited, if you lived in a state that still has the federal minimum wage, and you know any women under the age of 25 that work in the service industry, there's a really good chance that you might know someone who makes the federal minimum wage.
So, I know your username is telling, but 1% is of workers, not the entire population. It's more like 1.6 million. And no, that's not a lot as a fraction of population nor does it account for who those people are/what their situation.

They're also still people with full and complicated lives. People like the OP you were responding to are more readily able to keep that in mind, but strategically-oriented individuals like yourself can struggle with that. I'm suggesting to check yourself to ensure that doesn't happen.

Is deflation a cause or symptom, though? To me, it’s just a number, but I understand that it is more than that to various economic groups.
As far as I understand it, deflation indicates that prices are going down, which is a good thing to me individually.
