Yall are hilarious. Far right David Seckel and he is a 6.0.

Lmao this sub loves to shit on people so they feel better about themselves. In pickleball of all sports

u/tanward 15h ago

Maybe they do it as a joke

6

u/strawbsrgood 15h ago

It's 100% not joking lol

3

u/Bentley306 12h ago

My first thought was that this was an obvious joke given the level of play but I don’t recognize the players.

And he's only a 3.5 in Florida?

51

u/strawbsrgood 21h ago

According to this sub Florida has inflated DUPR so they're actually 3.0.

45

u/RENTDGthrowaway 20h ago

This is Icelandic 2.5 at best though could pass for a Bolivian 3.2

9

u/strawbsrgood 20h ago

Them icelanders can sure fuckin blast some pickleballs.

It's like a soft Swahili 3 imo

How many Latverias though?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Sea8340 15h ago

Total Latveria 3

4

u/FridgesArePeopleToo 4.5 19h ago

Was going to say, this must be North Florida because everyone knows this is 2.5 in south florida

1

u/retromafia 2h ago

And 2.0 in the Keys

23

u/PKLBLN 19h ago

Stop playing, this isn't 3.5 anywhere in the nation.

7

u/Atlas-Stoned 9h ago

The guy on the right is an actual 6.0 lmao it’s a joke

7

u/someshooter 14h ago

If I see any dinking it has to be 4.0 and up.

25

u/Dr_ManTits_Toboggan 19h ago

This would be 1.5-2.0 in Arizona

5

u/dandr01d 13h ago

0.25 in Boca Raton

1

u/Dr_ManTits_Toboggan 13h ago

Negative 5.5 in SLC

43

u/charlotteduffer 21h ago

4.0 for sure. 3.5’s don’t ever dink with that kind of patience.

38

u/FridgesArePeopleToo 4.5 19h ago

I genuinely can’t tell if this is sarcasm and you’re in on the joke or not

13

u/BulgogiDude 20h ago

Someone in the comments recognizes a guy and says they are 6.0

2

u/3xlduck 21h ago

agree, dinking was pretty good.

1

u/Username15555551212 15h ago

Forget the dinking, the video starts with a speed up that's a short hands battle that's then perfectly reset. 5.0+ easy.

7

u/Illustrious-Tooth47 19h ago

This is the only game where people playing against each other look like they are working together to keep the point alive.

3

u/arnut_haika 5h ago

Did the guy in green have pens in his shirt pocket and trying to stop them from falling out?

13

u/Scoutback_wilderness 5.0 20h ago

Who cares

2

u/SchruteFarmsPA 14h ago

I like this answer best^^

3

u/Apprehensive-Web-666 16h ago

They look very good for 3.5

2

u/kev_cuddy 14h ago

Pink hat guy mostly just chilling lol

1

u/blacksheep2016 17h ago

If played in Florida this is 6.0 there.

1

u/Highstick104 6h ago

Jeez, not in my area, 2.5 max where I live. Would hate to get stuck in open play with those guys but unfortunately it happens.

1

u/DuhHuddyDuh 13h ago

How is this the peak of pickleball

1

u/onilim 12h ago

Hey I know this place, Toledo Pickle!

1

u/austin101123 8h ago

This is good is 3.5 on a a 5pt scale? I'd say this is solid 8/10 play

1

u/mail_escort4life 5h ago

Is this in slow motion?

1

u/3xlduck 21h ago

so are their official DUPRs really 3.5?

24

u/RENTDGthrowaway 20h ago

Obviously not, it’s just engagement bait.

This is Florida 5.0 DUPR for comparison, for anyone who still thinks Florida DUPRs are meaningfully different than any other major metro area https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIMS9sGnv1M

1

u/3xlduck 19h ago

i suspected as much, ah reddit never disappoints.

6

u/FridgesArePeopleToo 4.5 19h ago

No, but their Reddit DUPR is 3.2 (would be 2.8 in my city)

-35

u/mailboy11 21h ago

Sounds about right. I have seen players with less than 3.5 play better than this

-5

u/lax20attack 21h ago

Late tournament 4.5

Lots of attackable balls but maybe they let them go because they are tired

8

u/BulgogiDude 20h ago

Someone in the comments recognizes a guy and says they are 6.0

0

u/lax20attack 16h ago

What about this point is 6.0? It's a standard pickleball point and we're asked to judge based off of one point.

These posts are dumb.

8

u/BestChannel1058 16h ago

There's a bunch of things that point out this is high level pickleball. The smoothness of movement, the paddle control to try to disguise the location of speedups, smoothly taking knee high dinks out of the air with control and fluidity, the lack of speedups from below the net that could be countered, etc.

1

u/Leila_101 6h ago

Not to mention the footwork

-5

u/lax20attack 15h ago

About half way through the video, after the lob is defended, there were multiple missed opportunities for attacks by the closer player on the right.

That's what made me think this single point is below 5.0.

4

u/phuongtv88 14h ago

He could attack, but the counter going to even harder than his attack lol. He go to the placement backhand dink to creat pop up which is right because the far right player still in transistion zone.

2

u/Desroth86 15h ago

The first one hit back to him after the lob definitely could have been hit harder, but I don’t really think the second or the third one were really that attackable, but what do I know I’m just a filthy casual rec player.

-1

u/Oddfellow1five1 16h ago

Southern Oregon here and this looks a lot like the 4.5 group I play with.

0

u/Joebebs 4.5 16h ago

Nahh I’m from Florida and this is 1.0 for 5 year olds

/s

-3

u/No_Comfortable8099 21h ago

Lizard Lick 3.235s. Central NY 4.7321s

-2

u/Gabor419 17h ago

I just don't understand why the nearside player in the green t-shirt keeps his left arm like it's in a sling.

-5

u/MixedFluidsAllOver 18h ago

this would be 0.5-1.0 in my area

-14

u/fflis 20h ago

I’d say 4.2ish. Dinking was pretty aggressive. Those dinks on a 3.5 would earn a pop up for sure.

4

u/BulgogiDude 20h ago

Someone in the comments recognizes a guy and says they are 6.0

1

u/fflis 20h ago

Ha. I did my best. Hard to tell off one point.

-38

u/Perfect_Cod_7183 21h ago

What a dumb sport.
