Why is NumlockX not working?

I've installed it, checked it's status, yet PikaOS does not turn the Numlock on by default. What's the issue? I did a standard auto install, yet something is missing. Please help.

I'm not sure.....but what DE are you using with it? KDE Has that feature as a toggle in its settings by default.

System Settings - Keyboard - Keyboard - Numblock on startup

Not sure about the other DE's maybe it's conflicting?

It's Kde and that did not work, it's why i was trying numlockx

After steps above, go to sddm settings and click apply to sddm. Then numlock settings will be syncronized and will work after a reboot.

Yea, thought about that, did it and it worked. Thanks alot.

Don't know why this wasn't required with Kubuntu, or why KDE or Linux doesn't just turn it on by default. But thanks, it's solved.

kde is working on its own replacement/variant for sddm.  years ago we had KDM, then they switched to sddm, and now I read they are moving back to some reworked sddm.

perhaps you are using Wayland, and that tool is for X11?
