Ragnar is a very sweet boy, and his owner shows the whole world how sweet, friendly, and gentle Pits are, just like any other breed. It was a delicate process, like all the portraits I immortalize, but in the end, it’s completely worth it to know that art has the power to resonate so deeply, and that someone's best friend was honored the way they deserve. I wanted to share it here because the people in this sub genuinely love seeing and perfectly understanding the soul, emotion, and joy behind this sweet gaze.

Question My dogs ear isn’t okay

I did make an appointment, and got the emergency # just in case. But I really need advice ( obviously not cure ) but ease Deeohgees discomfort until Thursday..

I know for kids with ear infections, a hot towel, and children’s anti inflammatory meds help.

His ear started looking a bit swollen a week ago ( maybe two honestly.. I’ve been working a lot and focused more on night walks & his food..But I didn’t think it’d turn to this.. it looks so painful for him.. we swim a lot too, and he does itch with any type of chicken, so he does have allergies. Any advice or suggestions or input, on how to ease his discomfort until Thursday helps. 2 days away is killing me. Google is freaking me out, so I thought I’d come here.

Seriously this dude knows more secrets about me than I do!
He is 6 this month, blind in one eye and deaf but my best friend.
He loves his sisters, but loves being at my side more than anyone in the family.

I’m so glad that whoever the POS who dropped him on side of road let him out in front of my house. If I find that person I hold grudges and this guy is living the best life possible.

Photos Gave Dazey my cuban link...

My girlfriend put a puca shell necklace on her as a joke. And she loved it. Was all happy to accept the gift. Then her daughter said oh was that my old one? So her mom gave it to her. I come home and noticed she was moping. So I asked what was wrong with my girl, and she explained what happened. So I went in the garage and cut links off my 925 cuban link necklace and put the clasp back on. And she loved it. Look at her face. If that wasn't happy thankful disbelief I don't know what is...

Discussion Toddler pitty

Maybe I’m overthinking so I wanted y’all’s thoughts. I have a 9 month old Pitt and he’s a great pup. Usually when I take him out for his bathroom breaks I’ll have him chase his ball for a while to burn up some of his energy. When we go back inside he will eat and then play for a while. But then I noticed he would start getting mischievous chewing on the coffee table, grabbing my sandals, chewing on any paper he can find. All this despite my redirecting him to his numerous chew toys and bones he has available. I get frustrated to the point that I kennel him to keep him away from stuff he shouldn’t be chewing up. Most of the time he naps when I kennel him. Is this kind of like a toddler who acts out when he’s tired? How long does this chewing stage last? I’m retired so most days Im home with him. He’s even recently neutered; I thought maybe that would chill him out some. Just kind of looking for some advice to keep me from losing my mind and overreacting with him.

Discussion Can you help foster or adopt Jewel? Her life is in limbo again after being rescued from high kill shelter. She’s in Irvine, CA but can be transported to most SoCal areas.

🚨💔 URGENT — JEWEL HAS NOWHERE TO GO! SHE WAS SAVED FROM EUTHANASIA, BUT HER LIFE IS IN LIMBO AGAIN! 💔🚨
FOSTER OR ADOPTER DESPERATELY NEEDED! 🙏
Sweet little Jewel is only 35 lbs — a tiny pocket pittie who was rescued just in time from a high-kill shelter, where she was facing euthanasia simply because she had been there too long. 😭
We thought Jewel was finally safe. Now she is about to lose her foster home and once again has nowhere to go. 💔
Her fosters are moving and unfortunately cannot take her with them. They have been wonderful to Jewel and kept her safe for as long as they could, but time has run out.
If no one steps up, Jewel will have to go into outdoor boarding in this awful summer heat. 🥵💔 After everything this little girl has already been through, the thought of her going from a loving home to living outside in boarding is heartbreaking. She deserves so much better than this.
🙏 WE ARE BEGGING FOR SOMEONE TO PLEASE OPEN THEIR HOME TO JEWEL. Even fostering her could make all the difference.
Her fosters have wonderful things to say about her:
💎 “She has a great personality, is very loving and loves to give kisses. She gets the zoomies and jumps around when you get home, but otherwise she is very relaxed and docile. She loves lying in her bed or next to you getting belly rubs. She is crate trained and pee-pad trained and can be left out during the day without concerns about accidents.”
Jewel is loving, affectionate, adorable and only 35 lbs. She just needs someone to give her a chance. 🥺❤️
She already escaped the euthanasia list once. Please don’t let her end up without a home again.
🚨 FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED ASAP! 🚨
📱 If you can foster or adopt Jewel, please TEXT (818) 791-1607 and say “JEWEL.”
Texts will receive a faster response.
🙏 Please share. Somewhere out there is the person who can keep this sweet little girl safe. 💎🐾❤️

August 24, 2023 These were some of the very first pictures of Dolly and me together. I had just rescued her from the river, where she had been living while pregnant.

She had no idea that day that she wasn't going back. She was coming home with me.

And now… look at her.

Now I want to see yours! Drop the very first picture you ever took of your pup in the comments — rescue or not! I want to see their first picture vs. now.

Introduction Introducing Deeohgee my Fur Baby!

Thumbnail

I saw everyone’s Introduction posts & think they’re SO cute! So I wanted to do one. Lol! This is Deeohgee. He is 8 yrs old. He arrived at my door unexpectedly at 4 weeks old ( we think? ) on December 12th ( So he’s a surprise child, like my non-fur son ) lol!

He loves water, walks, chasing squirrels, frogs & pretends to catch fishes, and loves guilt tripping me. He snorts like a pigger when he sleeps and he doesn’t like fetch, but instead plays keep-away.

HE trained ME! I swear it.. Going potty, when he’s hungry, wants more water, where he wants his bed.. ect. He’s also the MOST DRAMATIC! If he has a stomach ache, he’s ON the floor wailing like a human! Howling even! He’s been to the pup-ER 3x ( for stomach aches/ $350 each time ) I ACTUALLY called 911 once cuz I panicked & couldn’t find the vet # fast enough & I SWORE he was on his death bed! He also gave me the silent treatment for a whole day after the doc took his boys.

His nicknames are: pitter pat, pit pat, fat bat, cow cow, wittle angel, wittle baby boy, doe-ger, doe-ger-doo, fattie, my fat wittle sausage, pigger, piggy-poo, and any number of those mixed together sometimes lol! So that’s my favorite fur angel! So that’s my fur boy!

Other Rehoming possibilities in Colorado

Looking for a forever home for my 4 year old, fixed female Lola. I knew, when I got her, that it would be too much work for me, i already had 2. A family member had a litter and was having issues getting homes for the pups so I took her in. Since getting her I’ve had a baby, who’s now a toddler and my OCD about the dogs has been in overdrive. Not to mention that my plate is so full that I barely give her the attention that she needs. I homeschool 2 kiddos, work, have the baby and have housework to keep up with. I don’t WANT to give her up, but I realize that I can’t give her what she needs right now and it sucks for her. I can’t pay a dog walker, my kids are too young to do it alone, walking her WITH a toddler is impossible.

She’s house, leash, kennel and muzzle trained. (Before anyone says shit…. There are bunnies, prairie dogs and squirrels galore where we walk/hike, they also poison the prairie dogs here) She’s playful, athletic, so lovable and the most regal girl I’ve ever seen.

I’m hoping for someone in Colorado. I do not have the funds or transportation to take her out of state. I will be needing to talk with and get to know whoever takes her. I’m not just passing her off to the first person to reply and I’m not even sure that I will find someone good enough here either. Just feeling it out for her sake.
