Game will not launch - check internet connection and/or firewall

Hi guys any idea how to sort out this error? I have previous uninstalled and then reinstalled again, this worked and allowed me to play for about a day. I have validated the game files as well, not really too sure what else to do

You can just start the game without BattlEye

Sorry I’m late but this is what worked for me

“Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to acess the item error”
Update: I fixed it, writing the steps here if someone has the same issue
a) For me it was most probably because of a bad dns port or a network/router issue
1) Use a VPN (In my case I used Cloudflare WARP) and try to launch the game after verifying files through the launcher
2) The game should start but you'll have na extra ~100-150 ping
3) Play for ~5-10 mins and see if you get kicked out
4) If you don't congratulation, you can play the game without connecting to the vpn with you usual ping

Alternatively, you could also try to forcibly change your router's dns port by shutting it down and powering it back on after ~30 secs (Don't know if this will work only going off intuition for this one but should be easier than installing a VPN for alot of people)

Warthunder had the same problem with battle eye. Try uninstalling it, reinstalling and whitelisting it.

Tried with firewall off? Not a solution, but thinking of ways to debug.

If its an option, the easiest way to fix stuff like this is generally to reinstall Windows. If you can find a 23h2v2 iso for Windows 11 that's the last version that will let you save your files when reinstalling. What the error is saying is it can't access the executable for Planetside 2 for some reason. It could be that it was moved somehow, it could be that you don't have permissions to access it, or it could be that Windows broke on you. Check to see if the planetside executable is in the folder given in the error, if it is its likely a permissions issue. If its not, you have to find planetside2.exe and move it back.
