Announcement New Post Guidelines

Hi r/Playtesters ! I am introducing some new post guidelines. The purpose of these changes are to make the subreddit cleaner and easier to use.

Moving forward the only approved post type will be text posts. If you want to include game footage/images, please embed them in the post.

Post flairs:

Paid Playtest:
A post from a developer to search for play-testers. Only use this flair if you’re offering payment for completion of a play-test or for finding a bug. Cash or Crypto only, no other form of reward counts as a paid playtest. Include the amount you're offering, a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Unpaid Playtest:
Another form of post from a developer to search for play-testers. Use this flair if you are not able to offer money for play-testers. You may offer other rewards, such as credits or in game currency, but that would still fall under this category. Include a short description of the game, and how you would like to receive feedback (through a google form, Reddit comments, etc)

Playtester:
To make a post searching for games to play-test, use this flair. Feel free to specify what types of games you would like to play, and if you’re looking for compensation.

Discussion:
Use this flair for general discussion posts about play-testing.

Please be aware of the risks before accepting paid play-test offers. Moderators cannot ensure that promised payment will be sent.

Please leave a comment or send a mod-mail if you have feedback on these changes, we would love to hear from you.

Unpaid Playtest Looking for feedback on the difficulty of a 1-minute daily guessing game

Hey I’m testing a little daily game called Baffle and could use some fresh eyes on the difficulty.

You get a photo of a real object from a museum archive with no context and type what you think it is. The game then judges how close your guess was before showing the actual answer.

The thing I’m specifically trying to figure out:

Do you usually feel like you had a reasonable chance, or does it feel too random/impossible?

A round takes maybe a minute.

It’s free, no ads, and no login/account needed:

Unpaid Playtest [Unreleased demo] Factory management roguelite, ~2h full run — looking for 3-4 testers before public release (Steam key)

Hi everyone! I'm a solo dev and the demo of my game Bottlecappers just got approved by Steam. Before I release it publicly in about two weeks, I'd love a few fresh pairs of eyes on it. It's a factory management roguelite: build bottle cap production lines, survive quarterly investor reviews, buy back every share to win. The demo is a complete winnable run, roughly 1.5-2 hours, 11 languages.

What I'm asking: play at least the first hour (a full run if it hooks you), then answer a few questions (where did you get stuck or bored, did the unlock pacing feel right, would you wishlist after playing, plus anything broken you find). Written answers in the thread or DM, whatever you prefer. No NDA, just one request: no public screenshots or videos until the official release.

If you're interested, comment with the kind of games you usually play (factory/management experience is a plus but not required) and I'll DM a Steam key to 3-4 people. Thanks!

Unpaid Playtest Card Shop Duelist - a cozy shop sim with a full TCG built into it

Hey everyone. I just put a free demo of my game Card Shop Duelist up on Steam and I'm looking for people to try it and provide their feedback.

It's a 2D top-down sim about running a trading card store. You order product, take deliveries, stock the shelves, and set your own prices while the market moves around on you. You hire staff, build up regulars, and buy cards straight off the collectors who wander in. Packs go into a Rip Station so you can chase pulls while you're still stuck at the register. Fill the binder, dust your duplicates, craft the cards you're missing, send the good ones off for grading.

The bit I'm least sure about is the duelling. The card game inside the shop is an actual game, not a minigame. Battleforge has seven elemental affinities, lane synergies, relics, and reaction spells, and you can build a deck and challenge your own customers with it. So there's a whole second game living inside the first one, and to be frank I don't know yet whether that's the best thing in here or a distraction from the shop.

The demo runs your first 30 in-game days (all of Spring) up to level 30. Free, Windows only, takes a couple hours for a full run. I know that's a bigger ask than a browser game, so if you only have half an hour, that's fine, the first 30 minutes will still tell me a lot.

Playable link:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5062190/Card_Shop_Duelist_Demo/

Stuff I'd love feedback on:

-Whether the core loop (order, stock, price, sell, rip) is actually fun

-Whether the duels earn their place or feel bolted on

-Whether pricing and the daily economy make sense or feel like guessing

-Difficulty, pacing, and whether a day drags

-UI/UX and readability (some art is still placeholder)

-Anything confusing, frustrating, boring, or just plain broken

And if you bail before day 30, please tell me which day you quit on and why. That's genuinely the most useful thing I can get.

Sharing your feedback on the game's discord server is ideal, but DMs work, and there's a Discord if that's easier:

https://discord.gg/q8N3ppvPe

Be as critical as you want. I'm trying to work out what to build next and what needs tearing up before Early Access, and people who don't already play shop sims are exactly who I need to hear from.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a go!

For Keyboard the controls are explained in game, but for Controller. X is Attack, Y is Interact, B is Dash. A is Jump. Cycle Left & Right is with Bumpers. D-Pad Down is for swimming down and for dropping through platforms.

Please Record or Take screenshots and send them to me. This is still a work in progress and most of the art is placeholder.

Me interesan especialmente:

¡Gracias!

Discussion I’ll fund $200 of creator marketing for a few indie games, looking for developers to test this with

Hi everyone,

I’ve been building a marketing platform for indie games and I’m getting close to launch. Before releasing it, I want to find out whether it actually produces results.

I’m intentionally not linking or naming the platform here because the purpose of this post is to find test games rather than drive traffic to it.

So I’m looking for a few indie developers willing to let me run a $200 creator campaign for their game, completely funded by me. You don’t pay anything.

The platform connects games with gaming creators making TikTok, YouTube and Instagram content. Creators can either charge a fixed price for content, or participate in campaigns where they’re compensated based on the verified views their content generates.

What I’m looking for:
1) Your game has a live Steam page where people can buy or wishlist it.

2) It’s already released or releasing relatively soon.
You have gameplay/screenshots/video I can look at to determine whether it’s suitable for short-form content.

3) You’re willing to privately share before/after numbers such as wishlists and sales/downloads so I can measure whether the campaign worked.
You’re okay with the results potentially being turned into a case study. I’d discuss what gets published with you beforehand.

4) If you’re interested, comment with your Steam page and a little about your game. I’ll go through them and reach out to the games I think are a good fit.

Happy to answer questions about how the experiment will work.

Unpaid Playtest Still looking for playtesters for our latest version of RoboFarm Demo

We have recently updated our RoboFarm Demo game to version 1.2.56, and we’d love to have you playtest it. It is an incremental, building, automation game:

https://s.team/a/4212040/

We are looking for thoughts on the first 10 minutes of gameplay: what you like and what you don’t like. In particular: Do you like the intro music? Do you think it fits the kind of game, or is it too serious/scary and not cozy enough?

All playtesters who make a video to provide feedback will receive a Steam key once the full version is released.

Unpaid Playtest Turncoats - a browser fantasy autobattler about mercenaries who can betray you

Hey, we’re looking for players to try Turncoats, our free browser game made for Brackeys Game Jam 16.

Turncoats is a single-player fantasy autobattler about gold, war, and fragile loyalty. You lead a band of mercenaries through automatic battles. Between fights, you arrange your formation, buy equipment, and decide who gets paid. Unpaid wages lower a mercenary’s Trust, causing them to fight worse or potentially defect permanently to the enemy. Enemy units can defect to your side as well.

Each victory also gives you a choice between contracts with tempting rewards and difficult consequences. A full playthrough takes roughly 30 minutes, and no download is required.

Playable link:
https://fynnkl.itch.io/turncoats

We’d especially appreciate feedback on:

  • Whether the core gameplay loop is fun
  • Whether the Trust, wages, recruitment, and defection systems are understandable
  • Difficulty, balance, and randomness
  • UI/UX
  • Anything confusing, frustrating, boring, or simply not working

Our preferred feedback method is Reddit comments, but DMs are also welcome. Please be as honest and critical as you like. We’re considering whether it is worth it to continue developing the game after the jam and which parts we should extensively rework. We are asking for feedback here because we feel that the feedback from other GameJammers is often biased.

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try! :)

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Looking for FPS players to help test Damn Zombies — multiplayer beta

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for people willing to spend some time testing the beta of my multiplayer FPS, Damn Zombies.

I've been working on the game for around six months. I lost my job in April, and since then I've been putting my full time into development. It's a passion project that I've basically been living and breathing for the past few months, and I've finally reached the stage where feedback from real players is much more valuable than me testing the same things over and over again.

Damn Zombies is a fast-paced multiplayer FPS built around chaotic fights, gunplay, movement, and a maze-like shipping-container environment.

At this point I'm not looking for people to tell me everything is great. 😄

I want to know what isn't great.

I'm particularly interested in feedback about:

  • Weapon feel
  • Weapon balance
  • Movement responsiveness
  • TTK
  • Spawn locations
  • Map readability/navigation
  • Multiplayer and networking problems
  • Bugs/exploits
  • Anything that feels confusing, frustrating, unfair, or simply not fun

You absolutely don't need to write a huge review.

Something as simple as "the shotgun feels too weak" or "I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to go" is useful feedback.

Create an account:
https://www.damn-zombies.com/signup

Get beta access:
https://www.damn-zombies.com/account#beta

Download the beta:
https://www.damn-zombies.com/account#downloads

You can leave feedback here on Reddit, and I'll be reading and replying to the comments.

Thank you to anyone willing to spend some of their time testing it. At this stage, every real player who jumps in helps me make the game better.

Unpaid Playtest Yahtzee fans

Game Title: DiceToons

Playable Link: https://dicetoons.itch.io/dicetoons it needs a password just shoot me a message

Platform: web browser

I am working on my first game ever. It’s a game based around Yahtzee that’s supposed to have a more impactful and exiting feeling than playing standard Yahtzee. It is currently pretty true to standard Yahtzee with a few unique changes. I don’t think there is a game with this direction and I’m trying to find feedback to make sure I’m investing in the right areas. It takes about 10-20 minutes if you play the entire working prototype

Free to play but requires a password feel free to message me and I will give it to you

Hey everyone!

I'm excited to share that my game The Last Spellkeeper is now available on Google Play for open testing!

I'm a Norwegian indie developer, and I've been working on the game myself. I made a short trailer to show what the game is about.

I'm hoping to expand it into a much bigger game in the future and eventually release it on Steam and iOS as well.

I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a try and let me know what you think. Feedback and bug reports are very welcome!

Unpaid Playtest [Android/iOS] Outdraw: Reaction Duels, a fast reaction duels competitive and casual game

Hey everyone, I’m a solo developer working on Outdraw, a fast-paced Western-themed reaction game for Android and iOS.

The core idea is simple: you choose a lane and if you chose the same as your opponent you got a draw, you then wait for the cue (without getting faked out), and fire or dodge faster than your opponent when the cue hits. You can play against bots through the Bounty Trail (singleplayer game mode), or face another player in a private or ranked duel.

The game is currently in closed alpha, and I’m looking for honest feedback on:

  • How clear the controls and game flow feel
  • Whether the timing feels fair
  • How the online matches perform
  • Any bugs, confusing screens, or rough edges

You’ll need to join the Outdraw Discord for the Android or iOS installation instructions:

Discord: Join the Outdraw: Reaction Duels Discord Server! (100 limit)

Once you join the Discord, just type your device's operating system (Android/iOS) in the access-request channel and i'll manually give access to people :)

This is an early build, so feedback on anything that feels unclear or frustrating is genuinely helpful. Thanks to anyone who gives it a try.

Unpaid Playtest Players can create their own cards in my roguelite - Playtest live

I've been working on a roguelite card game called Diamonds and Spades, and the first public playtest is still live for about two weeks!

The core gameplay is a simple risk/reward card game using a deck of 100 classic playing cards. During each run, you collect tarot cards with unique effects that change the way you play. Combining these effects lets you create powerful synergies and push your score as high as possible.

One of the main features is a built-in card editor. Players can create their own tarot cards, draw custom artwork, program their effects using a visual scripting system, and share their creations with other players.

The playtest is currently open, and I'd really appreciate feedback, especially on the core gameplay, card effects, progression, and the card editor.

If you'd like to participate, you can request access directly on Steam:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4944200/Diamonds_and_Spades

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try! I'd love to hear what you think.

The best way to give feedback is through the Google Form linked directly in the game.

Unpaid Playtest Little Cauldron Cafe

Would you play this game if it was developed more?

Hey everyone! I'm so excited about this! I've been building a cozy little game called Little Cauldron Cafe — a kawaii-styled potion café sim for iOS. No fail states, no timers, no pressure: tap ingredients into a cauldron, brew, collect potions, decorate your rooms as they open up. It's for Halloween lovers that wish it could be Halloween all year round.

It's live in TestFlight now and I'd love a few more people to try it and tell me what feels off, confusing, or just doesn't work.

What's in the build right now:

  • Four explorable rooms (Main Cafe, Greenhouse Nook, Reading Corner, Attic Loft), each with its own ingredients, recipes, and vibe
  • A recipe journal that turns into a keepsake book once you've completed a room
  • A daily rotating "Daily Brew" with its own little gift-reveal moment
  • A growing collection system (favorites, charms) and cozy ambient touches — crickets, fireflies, a wandering café cat

No account needed, nothing to configure — just tap in and start brewing.

Genuinely appreciate any feedback, even the small stuff — TestFlight's built-in screenshot feedback works great for that. Thank you!

Paid Playtest Need Paid Playtesters for my "connection poker" physical card game

Hi, I'm the creator of Deep Deck.

It's a card game with poker-like mechanics, and deep questions that bring friends, singles, couples and families closer together. 2+ players, ages 13+.

If you are interested in playtesting, drop a comment and we'll exchange paypal/venmo details through DM, whichever you're most comfortable with. I'll cover shipping too.

If you are open to recording yourself playing the game so I can learn from live feedback, let me know.

Thank you!

Edit: Wow thank you for the huge amount of interest. I'm not ignoring your messages, just in and out of meetings all day today. I have blocked out some time to respond tonight and tomorrow. Thank you all <3

Unpaid Playtest Anachron Coliseum - a F2P and PVP Living Card game on Steam

Hello to the entire community!

We're a small team of friends from Italy currently developing a free-to-play LCG.

We've been hard at work on this for a while and went through many changes during the one year and a half of developing we've reached now. We moved from Unity to Web technologies and that has been ultimately the biggest leap in developing speed we had taken thus far and allowed us to concentrate on user experience, UI and art more closely.

As stated in our official website here https://anachroncoliseum.com/ we've worked with a tons of professionals to get card art, illustrations, sfx and voicelines done and we would love to have the chance to get players to experience all of this.

We aren't looking for people to stream or advertise the game, we're looking mostly for card game players that want to try something new and let us know what they think. But of course all are welcome! It's available right now as an Open Playtest on Steam if anybody wants to take a look and give feedback. We have a dedicated discord just for that, also in case you can't find a match and need to organize with somebody else to play.
