Why are there ice spikes everywhere? This gym has me feeling more like a snowman than a trainer. Who thought this was a good idea?

Hello Pokemon BW subreddit, this is my first post!

I've been raising Pokemon for a week and I finally beat the Elite Four Rematch, and it's been super difficult with all of them in the 70s threshold.

Ill try and keep this short. With every Pokemon game, we find Pokemon that we gravitate towards. Ive started to find a couple and one of them haven't evolved yet.. Gurdurr. He has Sheer Force ability, Brave nature, and he is my go to guy rn. I went to see what level he evolves at, only to find out its a trade evolution. I have an old save from earlier in the run on another device and im curious if i can just trade that way or do i have to start over, beat the gym and then trade. I'd try it myself but id need to move files around through my PC and such.

Is there still a way to trade globale?

(Like with the DNS server?)

Then I really want a Rufflet for my pokedex completion.

I can not offer much in exchange except Black (2) exclusives.

My plan was to face Cynthia after the league, but I thought "why not try now?" And I was able to defeat her and I still have to explore undella town and visit White forest. Now its time to train further before facing the league.
