I've always been turned off by one thing in a lot of political tests: "moderate" ends up meaning the midpoint of however the questions are worded. So I tried building one where the nuetral point is defined by something external - current US law.

It's 23 controls instead of yes/no statements. Every control is anchored: leave the top tax rate at 37%, the minimum wage at $7.25, immigration at todays volume, etc. You're scored on the departure from the status quo.

As a little added bonus...it also shows you where your perspectives may contradict each other.

I know there is a general list of tests in a link on the sidebar, but that is years old and I am wondering if there is any list which is newer than a year old?

I am also looking for tests that are not based on 8values or sapply values.
