Challenge: Both you and your opponent starts with armies of Swordsmen and Defenders. Seems fair! ... you get access to all level 1 tech to get you out of this pinch. (The techs are: Hunting, Riding, Organization, Climbing, Fishing and Smithery)

Started games as 24hr games w my brother. Turned them into 15 min turns even though that’s not an option?

Today you can clearly see on the side of the screen the Tribes last 4 tech discoveries, but thats it. You cant see further back what a player may have.
- Yes its possible to look out over the field and see what a player have built and what units they have and dont have to decifer what tech they may have.
But isent that a little incovnient.
However this would allow for an imediate glance towards player has. (Yellow indicating the last discovery) This in simple manners gives us spectators an imediate insight to how the game will evolve!
What does everybody think? - Yes... right!

My wife and I have been trying out this challenge: Domination with 15 opponents, all classic tribes turned on and special tribes turned off, easy difficulty, see how quickly you can wipe the map. So far my personal best is 16 turns but I'd be interested in seeing what the community can do and which tribe you think is best for the job.
I haven't tried it with special tribes yet either, I expect Elryon might be good.

I made a feature-complete map editor for the game. You can build anything you can imagine - and as long as the game supports it, it will run.

Polytopia is the perfect game for me. I wonder if there are other similar games out there, do you know any?

Because what the...? Hardest challenge I've done. I think by round 3 it was basically over for me
UPDATE-
I went back to finish my game and it wasn't as hard as I thought. Final score 13,600. Not good not bad, hopefully will do better tomorrow now I'm not panicking about what it looks like😂

I decided to download it on my older Galaxy Tab S3, and it looks extremely blurry. This device isn't that weak. Even changing the UI scale to very large doesn't really stop the UI from looking like it's on a cheap Fire tablet or whatever. Any help would be appreciated!

Not balence wise, mechanically it's inconsistent. Specifically Aquarius has some weird interactions with ice.
If a unit is standing on an ice tile with other adjacent ice tiles, they have the option to 'break ice' this action removes adjacent ice AND removes ice from the tile they're standing on. However, if there is a single ice tile and a unit is on that tile, they do not have the option to break ice.
The other broken interaction is with the Tridention. Breaking the ice counts as an action. When a Tridention attacks, it gets another action and can attack again.
If a Tridention is near ice, after killing a unit IF there is another unit in attack range, they can use that extra action to attack OR break the ice. However, if another unit is not in attack range, they do not appear to gain an extra action and they can not break the ice tiles after a kill.
I've run into both of these in one game and am now loosing a close game because of them. Frustrating to say the least

Read Tribe War I - Chapter I - THE START : r/Polytopia for context.
KICKOO- PANKIU ISLANDS/PRISON ON STILTS
This string of islands is a prison which floats on the water using stilts. The atmosphere here is very bright considering it is near the coast. The most ferocious Swordmen patrol the paths to the island. To get here, you need to pass the bombers who are backed by catapults on the land. If you get through the bombarding, Defenders block your part as archers shoot arrows at you. The islands are connected by boats, so the prisoners board them to go to the canteen or gym or anything else.
General K'mawa is the Head of Security here.
In the distance Ragoo pirates approach. This was routine. The bombarding started. Canon balls erupted as the Pirates jumped into the waters swimming towards the island. A common practice. Their bombers didn't have enough range. but from the back, a fiery canon ball hit a ship.
The Golden alliance was here. The ships erupted into fire because of the surprise attacks and the pirates reached land to disengage the catapults. The catapults fell and the Ragoo Swordsmen charged further. Imperius Chivalry landed and charged into the mountains. Archers tumbled over as the spears pierced them. The pirates got through. But the 5th Sea Battalion awaited them. The mighty Kickoo swordsmen... were actually just a bunch of fishers with training. After navy there is nothing to protect Kickoo so um. Let's see.

I GET 30 FCKING SECONDS TO MOVE EVERY FUCKING TIME WHILE HAVING AS MANY UNITS AS I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE AND THE SAME AMOUNT OF CITIES AS EVERYBODY ELSE YET THE GET 3 TO 6 TIMES MOVE TIME, DOGSHT F*CKING GAME
r/Polytopia • u/jgl142 • 3d ago
They need to start punishing players for abandoning games. The developers can absolutely tell if a player leaves and starts another game. Or leaves the game. It’s a weak move and shows you’re a loser of a human. Players that abandon games should lose 150 points.
Come at me

Hi.
I've been playing Polytopia pretty much from the get go.
I live in Iran, under the fucking Islamic Republic regime. They've ruined all aspects of our lives, down to purchasing a 1 dollor game..
They've buried all our dreams and future. that's not a discussion for here.
I've been trying to join the multi-player game for years. a very nice lad from the US once tried to help me get some tribes, but it didn't work out.
I've got EVERY 3 star possible in any dituation ( on crazy, 4 to 15 bots ) on Perfection and up to 8 bots in domination , not once, not twice, but three times ! I'm bored guys.
please help me play with actual human beings and forget about our hell of a life in this torture of a country.
I'm Hemen, and I'm 37.
here is the link for any one interested.

I have multiple people in my household who play this game, is there a way to create a local server to host games?

Is it me or does Crazy AI sometimes do really strong and sometimes extremely bad? Are there any more plans to improve the solo experience? Whats everyone else's experience with Crazy AI and stuff?
