No doubt it's going to take far more than one term to fix this damage. For two examples, the amount of work it'll take to pass legislation to codify and strengthen the corrections, and rebuild offices gutted by Dodge, etc.
Nonetheless the general trend that recent Democratic administrations have consistently inherited an economy and turned things around. Our current case is certainly far more extreme.
Yeah those cons still wanted America to win long term, Trumpuppet's job is to attempt to break it permanently. It will all be rolled back. Hell to pay.

The US system optimizes for two parties only, which requires them both to be very big tent parties, so you get a lot of differing opinions under each party. The Republican party most definitely used to have a very strong fiscal conservatism subset. They, along with the national security subset, got pushed out by the MAGA subset.
These things happen to both parties, subsets come and go, their importance rises and falls.
So, yeah, people still think of Republicans as the party of fiscal conservatism, but that hasn't been true for a while now.
I agree. The democrats spend money and even with taxes it isn’t enough to cover it. The republicans spend money and cut taxes adding to the deficit. Trump is a special case of cutting taxes and REALLY spending money.
