Fellow Americans:
Please understand that what youāve set in motion cannot be stopped by just electing another POTUS. Youāe ****ed up so badly that every country in the entire world is now busy reconfiguring their economy to bypass the USA. The train has left the station.
Whatās more, every country that depended on the USA being a partner for security and protection is now busy forming new security alliances and arming themselves because they no longer trust the USA to have their backs.
This is GENERATIONAL damage. Think āUK no longer being an empireā type of damage. Even IF youāre able to self-correct, there is no happy ending at the end of this tunnel where things go back to being the way they were.

Exactly. The meme neglects mentioning the short-sighted impatient nature of the electorate (admittedly led astray by billions of dollars in right wing propaganda) that leads them to saying, "Democrats didn't fix it fast enough! Thereās genuinely nothing any president can possibly do to restore Americaās relationship with their allies.
Because other countries know that thereās not a single contract or promise any president can make thatāll matter in 4 years time when voters put someone else in the seat whoāll just break everything the previous president spent 4 years fixing.
No country can ever have faith in America again when any promise they make can easily be broken 4 years later.

Yep. It's especially stupid that the recent tariff shenanigans with Canada are, according to our Dear Leader, because our trade deal with Canada "is totally unfair." No one reminded him that he's the one who signed the USMCA in 2019.
Our trading partners can't even be assured that the same guy might renege the deal that he made just a few years prior.

Classic strategy by the worst people. Make enough of a fuss lying about your opponent doing the things you are actually doing, and when it comes time for them to call you out on it, you can just say they are just trying to get revenge on you by copying your behavior. Am I just unreasonably pessimistic/doomer in feeling like there isn't going to be a next president? They have been already getting Americans used to corruption, misinformation, and utter lack of accountability. And Trump is truly just the head of the nasty cyst. There are nefarious people pulling the strings, far smarter than he is, who have OPENLY talked about their plans of dismantling democracy. This consists of education, healthcare, safety nets. Even if Trump is gone, there's more. Peter Thiel, Sam Altman and Co. are openly saying that they are trying to bring about technofeudalism with de facto caste systems because they think the average person is not to be trusted with knowledge and a voice. They metaphorically and literally have melted the ice caps and are planning on standing on our corpses to escape the rising water. Some key phrases to look up are "Project 2025", "Memetic Desire", "Dark Enlightenment". Why has nobody been sounding the alarm on their philosophies in ways that is being taken seriously?

I've been saying stuff along these lines and only getting downvotes. People have their head in the sand and refuse to acknowledge the likelihood that the next election won't be a fair one. Republicans and their backers have worked too hard to gain power and they aren't going to give it up now. They literally have their cultists believing that Dems eat babies. Even if, on the smallest chance, the next election is fair and the Dems win it, January 6th was just a peek into what can be expected. I'm of the opinion that civil war is inevitable at this point. This is how Republicans win.
They create short term solutions that create long term problems.
For example: Reduced taxes that end at the end of their term and go above where they previously were for the following 4 years.
Them, when the next guy gets in, the Republicans block anything that fixes the problems they created.
Then the next election cycle, they say the other party was responsible for the problems they created and they get votes back int power.
Rinse, repeat. Works like a charm and their following is too stupid to notice.

I don't really like the repairing the damage mindset / rhetoric.
We are irrevocably fucked. I many ways American empire is dead. Things have haopened that can't be undone, allies that will not come back, etc.
I don't want things back where they were. I want a new f*cking country. A country where all the elite criminals in the regime and more broadly are prosecuted. Where we enforce anti trust. Where the military passes an audit and their budget is cut in half so that money can go to things like healthcare and infrastructure and education and food security etc. Where flock cameras are forcibly removed nationwide. Where we pack the courts, to escape a lifetime of corrupt justices destroying our rights.

I actually agree with some mentioning that this would easily take a generation or longer to reverse.
MAGA has exposed the Republicans as a untrustworthy element within the greater scope of American society. That just won't disappear with a single presidential term.
Reputations nationally and internationally have been destroyed and time will be needed to be repaired.
This is the worst instance in US history.

Nah you can't undo. The whole federal govt would need a 100% revamp. Supreme court fixed to put the extremist right wing as a minority (they gave the president immunity to commit crimes... like what?).
House rep cap increased by A LOT because states with 10 people having 2 senators is insane and red states literally control the senate while being a small minority and and actively help senate pass laws that literally screws all of us.
Federal govt has to be purged of extremists who wants to destroy that federal govt (the ones who came in with project 2025). White supremacists and christian fascists who also want to overthrow the US govt need to be purged from all federal positions.
Union laws have to be passed to give unions back their power. Unions have to be by sector not by location.
Tax loopholes where top .5% pays 0 taxes by exploiting loopholes needs to be closed. With estate taxes wealthy literally never pay taxes unless they want to.
Top 1% of INCOME earners are carrying the top 1% of wealthy Americans who don't earn through income and pay 0 taxes unless they want to.
Voting rights need to be fully restored, gerrymandering killed, red states punished if they make it harder for blue areas to vote on purpose. National voting holiday, free ID for all US citizen voters. Auto voter registration for all US citizens.
Payroll taxes are regressive and someone making 60k a year immediately loser 9k to payroll taxes with the 7.5% they pay vs the 7.5% lost wages because their employer has to pay 7.5%. The bottom 47% pays no taxes is a myth. Bottom 47% pays the most regressive taxes of all.
Falsely spreading medical misinformation needs to be punished and not hide behind first amendment.
Spreading propaganda should also be punished but I have no idea how that could be enforced, so I don't have an answer to that.
There is a lot more to be done to punish criminals in the white house and federal positions also....
Literally none of the above will happen and we will just get worse people in every time from now on.
