You are missing the part where each collapse is worse than the previous one, moving the country closer and closer to a point where it cant actually be put on the right path anymore.
I have a feeling we have already fell off that edge, and the only way forward is to rebuild from scratch. This administration has wiped their ass' with the constitution so much its utterly destroyed at this point. America has fallen and we are fighting for what comes next. Anything less is just more of a slow death spiral.
With the interest alone on the national debt having crossed the trillion dollar mark, you may very well be right. Its hard to see how government deficits could be reduced so much that the debt starts going down, even just stay at current levels.
First of all cut military spending in half then, raise taxes on the wealthy and corporations and go from there. Nobody is going to invade us. We are energy independent, food independent and still the wealthiest country in the world
He is talking about the interest on the debt. Not the total debt. That 1 trillion number should frighten you more than the 40 trillion. It means you have to cough up 1 trillion every year, just to keep standing still and not sink deeper into the swamp.
At a time where inflation is still rising, which is the catch 22. Raising interest rates will fight the inflation but also makes the debt rise like a rocket. Meanwhile lowering interest rates to "grow out of the debt" will give us inflation like post WW1 Germany.
TLDR: There is no way to fix this, Democratically speaking. The only thing that matters now is replacing the Capital Class, removing Capitalism in it's entirety, focusing on how to mitigate the damage from the worst parts of the coming Collapse, and how we will rebuild, globally, after.
We've been screaming from the rooftops about all of this for 40+ years. But as always, we've been too right, too early.
Nobody is going to get rid of capitalism because almost every country implements some degree of private market ownership. The real answer is regulation. That we won’t ever see in the States because regulation is complex and we’re simpletons.
moving the country closer and closer to a point where it cant actually be put on the right path anymore.
This is definitely the goal. They want to burn the ships back to the democratic, pluralistic society America has been stupendously successful with. The creeps fully invested in nativist techno-feudalism think this is the edge of some new glorious dawn, instead of using the nation to destoy the nation.
