Millennials had some hope with Obama, but the reality that most don't pay attention to Obama was made ineffective by Republicans. In 2010 through staunch opposition and getting the majority in Congress the last 6 years of Obama were largely ineffective for economic and social progress. The same thing happened in 2022 for Biden. We got ACA in those first two years of Obama and the Chips act in the same time frame for Biden.
So those 12 years of Democrat leadership only really had about 4 effective years in the last 26. It's the reality that needs to be contended with rather than placing the burden on young voters to buy into.

It's almost impossible for other groups to win without overwhelming the polls, which rarely happens, or when it does, it's in flip-flop cycles.

Hate to break it to you, but they are. 75 million votes for Harris, 77 million for trump. 115 million other Americans of voting age didn't give enough of a fuck to even bother to vote. 72% of the voting population was either for this, or didn't care.

For the last 40 years or so, yes. Republican gets elected, fs everything up. So a Democrat gets elected, fixes most of the damage. People start feeling confident again and decide they want more. Another Republican gets elected and fs everything up again. Happens every time.
Agreed. The pattern is consistent: Republican President decimates the economy while enriching the wealthy, Democrat Presidents work to undo the damage as best they can with Republican resistance to any policies they create.
Meanwhile, Republicans spend the entirety of the Democrat President's term blaming them for the problems they caused while also slowing their progress as much as possible. That way, they can use the "failures" of the Democrat President as a tool to bolster their own Republican President, who then repeats the process over and over again.
And Republican voters get amnesia, completely forgetting everything their President did once he's out of office.
The process requires Democrats to win regularly, or the country would collapse, and the Republicans wouldn't have anyone else to blame for it.
