He was naming the people that DOJ has kept redacted, the people whose names will only come out if the DOJ releases the remaining files ... or if someone takes advantage of a congressman's protections to read them on the floor of Congress without committing a crime himself.

I think this is the explanation for McConnell. They don't want Massie to be able to fill or run for that seat. Democrats like having one less voting republican senator so they don't push it. Only the people lose. Everyone in power wins.
