This is disappointing, usually Wendy’s has a great poutine

Never had a decent one in Wendy's.

Gotta be locational, the Wendy's in my town make pretty good poutines. I've also heard people talk up McDonalds or Burger King poutines, but my local BK and McDs have garbage poutine.

Definitely a location thing. My wendy’s is average, wouldn’t say good but it’s definitely not bad. I don’t go out of my way to get one. My Mcdonald’s and BK have good poutines tho, I usually grab one when I go.

Where my best friend is, only his Mcdonalds is good, rest are always messed up in some way

Worked there and then A&W, we warmed the curds and had nice gravy at A&W but not sure about Wendys. I occasionally get a donair poutine from Pizza 73 with curly fries, it's good enough to come back to. I'll have to snap some pics the next time I'm there!

It's the flavor of the gravy for me. It's very.. Rich? I guess? And REALLY sweet, tangy is the better world I think, closer to a BBQ sauce than a gravy.

A&W out of the fast foods has the best poutine. Best tasting gravy, thick asf curds and the thicker fries really make it the best around.

McDonald's is hit or miss. If you get a good batch of some of the more crispy fries, shit is slaps. If it's the meh fries, those soft sad little mushy shits, then it's an awful time. Or if they make it a swimming pool of gravy. Just makes the fries much anyway.

A&W is the only place, regardless of location, that is always great to have.

Really? It is so bland! Not a good showing!

1

u/Ok-Firefighter-8869 1d ago

It's under the sauce

1

u/SelectZucchini118 1d ago

I think they put it in first? It was all at the bottom 🫪

Is the poutine in the room?

1

u/Obvious-Toe-5835 1d ago

pulls out ghost box if the poutine is in here with us, yo how many lbs of poutine would I have to eat to be 100% made of poutine?

2

u/gildeddoughnut Poutine Poulice 1d ago

I think they put the gravy in first. Then fries. Then cheese.

1

u/SelectZucchini118 1d ago

I believe this was the case lol

Donnie's has never done this to me. Wendy's is notorious for shit like this where I'm at.

Wendy’s is the lowest of the low on fast food chain. Their food is so flavourless

0

u/SelectZucchini118 1d ago

Yep, haven’t gotten Wendy’s in years. Figured I’d try it again. There was a reason I stopped going. Yikes.

1

u/catman453 1d ago

Haha yeah. I worked there back in my Highschool days and always found it to be kinda flavourless

Poutriste

1

u/GottaB-KD 1d ago

Didn't it use to come in the black basket looking container?

1

u/LunaticPostalBoi 1d ago

This is a small poutine, which comes in that poor, cursed vessel that is forced to carry their "poutine"

The regular size (which I believe they switched to white) might be what you're talking about.

u/mightyopinionated 1d ago

Oh That reminds me it's almost time to go to Wendy's and be disappointed again.

1

u/luciosleftskate 1d ago

I recently learned that if you order routine, you have to check the box that you want fries and gravy. I ordered it without the boxes checked multiple times before I realized. It would just come as soggy fries in the enclosed poutine container

If I order poutine, its safe to assume I want the cheese and gravy

1

u/Specialist_Age2430 1d ago

Where the heck is the gravy?

1

u/SelectZucchini118 1d ago

It was all at the bottom. I feel like they put it in first

1

u/harveytent 1d ago

So many people diss Wendy’s poutine. I like it tho.

1

u/ChiefRedChild 1d ago

Usually it comes in a different container too.

1

u/MyNameIsSkittles 1d ago

You couldn't pay me to eat that

1

u/SelectZucchini118 1d ago

I was a hungry mama working on little time. It was what it was haha

1

u/paperhatch 1d ago

That’s a bad one. Usually they are quite good

1

u/Ornery-Presence731 1d ago

Sir, this is fries

1

u/amaladlaminii 1d ago

wendy’s usually has the best poutines… this is diabolical

1

u/Far-Measurement95 1d ago

Wendy’s poutine is a gamble, some places give in a cup and it’s horrible while some give in a tray so there is better gravy and cheese curd distribution.

1

u/Youwillseemycomment 1d ago

I’m starting to realize poutine is just not good in general, if 9 out of 10 poutines we get are not good then is poutine even good? In before I get one again today

1

u/Salty-Anybody-2765 1d ago

9 out of 10 poutines in Canada are made by people that just arrived in Canada.

1

u/No-Tip1428 1d ago

Oh damn. Glad i never get the poutine from there. Also is that like a tiny cup 😭 probably cost 8 dollars

1

u/Salty-Anybody-2765 1d ago

Was this made by someone from a Country that maybe didnt poutine growing up?

1

u/BeatsAreMyPassion 1d ago

That’s a frie

1

u/Adamas_Moustache86 1d ago

Wendy's, the home of soggy everything.

1

u/Any_Band9115 1d ago

As a New Brunswick gremlin, the Wendy's near my place does great poutine, you either got a bad cook, bad restaurant, or bad province (or bad country ig)

1

u/Leather_Ad5513 1d ago

I’ve had Wendy’s poutine few years ago and it was far from that honestly. Wayy better than that

1

u/Slippery_Fish1908 1d ago

Toss some beans and coleslaw and it’s fixed

1

u/Apprehensive-Fan8880 1d ago

Dang, their poutine is normally decent

1

u/Angelhail777 1d ago

Those are some sad fries 🫠

1

u/Sweet-Competition-15 23h ago

Perhaps they forgot a couple of ingredients?
