Did I just get scammed?

I was not following when tickets were officially being released, but I knew which game I wanted to go to, so I just googled for tickets and results came up on Seat Geek/Stubhub, so I clicked purchase. I’m reading elsewhere now that tickets haven’t gone on sale yet, but I have an email confirmation that the tickets are mine and that they’ll be sent to me shortly before the game. I’m confused and worried.

Have tickets been released for some games and not others?

Please be kind, I’ve never done this before.

You didn’t get scammed. A lot of people know they’ll have tickets available and choose to list them early. If you don’t receive by the “tickets ready by:” date then you’ll need to contact them and they’ll issue you comparable tickets. A lot of people blame the platforms in these situations but the reality is sellers don’t get paid and in fact get charged for the inconvenience if they don’t hold up their end.

As a former STH this is normal. Someone has a ticket package and knows three games they want to sell then list those. Certain high value game tickets are essentially locked from transfer until like 48 hours out. Seatgeek has really good support too if anything falls through

SeatGeek/StubHub are secondary markets. People buy tickets and then resell them on those platforms. What probably happened is someone (maybe a season ticket holder) is planning to resell their tickets to that game and made a listing already even though they don't actually have the tickets yet. You could just wait and see if you do eventually get the tickets but if it were me, I'd dispute the charge and contact the Predators box office to let them know there are listings for tickets that should not be available yet.
