What would you even do in cs102? After the basics you need to do specific stuff, no? I took intro to cs and then ds, oop, next sem algos and probability.

It's pretty common for 101 to be basic programming and then 102 to be basic OOP programming. Not 100% universal though and many places that have this structure still have a separate OOP course too.

So 101 is intro and 102 is just the oop course? I guess that makes sense if you think of it as "you need the intro for everything and oop for a job", so while 102 isn't a prerequisite for most courses it'd still be seen as more needed than if it were just called OOP?
