Curious to see if anyone has ever drilled holes in the zero9 gear to attach cuffs. Saw it somewhere and want to try it out, yeah I know it’ll be heavy in one spot which is a consideration. Going to be belt mounted.

Discussion Hot weather pants

Which are the best hit weather pants and do you have any experience with them?

The main models I've found are:

-tyr tactical huron

-platatac Willard

-beyond a9e

-patagonia sof jungle pants

-crye g4 hot weather fields

Does anyone have any experience/advice/review on these pants? Or others I might be missing

NOTE

even tho theyre called hot weather i just prefer them in general even in colder climates, wither temperate or cold, especially cold wet, cuz they dry much quicker and retain less water/sweat, i dont care about insulation for my legs tbh especially when im on the move, when I stop I'll throw on a jacket and maybe pants if its very cold and im going in a defensive position, patrol base, lp op etc.

And if its cold af I'll throw on a net base layer

Duty Holsters

Anyone have any recommendations for more affordable duty holsters? Looking at the Safariland ones and 200+ for a Glock 19 seems steep. Is that a normal price?

Discussion Crye frag pouch vs ferro banger pouch

I need a frag pouch, got the spiritus spud frag but it only fits m67 and my issued frags are taller and dont fit, but they fit my ferro banger.

I dont have any crye frags to compare, before buying i wanted to know if they fit taller frags or if theyre tight af aswell and only made for m67.

I need 4 of them at least to put on my warbelt right side.

If theres any other pouches im missing tell me

Discussion Kit recommendations

My unit is easing up on personal gear use and I’m thinking about trying some out. I’m issued IHPS/MSV and looking for quality of life upgrades or viable alternatives.

I need them to be jump rated, carry a full combat load, be able to integrate comms and a decent belt. Preferably in MC or green (coyote might be okay).

Outside of issued gear, the only thing I’ve tried was a kore essentials battle belt.

Question Issues with Point Blank "Endeavor" outer vest carrier

Post image
0 Upvotes

My previous agency authorized the Gen 1 "Endeavor" laser cut molle outer vest from Point Blank. I wore with it agency-issued Point Blank soft armor and Shot Stop ICW plates due to high order violence in the neighborhoods in which I worked.

I've since joined a new agency that authorizes the same vest, but thankfully, they've moved on to the Gen 2 so I don't have quite so many layers of fabric and I can get real molle instead of laser cut, but they wear black, not navy blue. So I'm buying a new one.

An issue I experienced with the Gen 1 was that the rough hook side would pull away from the cummerbund leaving a hard scratchy surface that would rip up your arms.

End of the world? No.

Does it suck 180 days a year for 12 hour shifts? You betcha.

Does anyone have a solve for this issue?

I thought about getting KWIQ-Clip buckles and installing them on the outer columns of molle on the front of the vest, thereby sandwiching everything together preventing that issue, but wanted to see if end users had ideas, too.

Better shoulder straps for plate carrier (Shaw concepts Arc V2)

Hey all,

Looking for slimmer shoulder straps to put on the Shaw concepts plate carrier. I don’t mean shoulder pads. The actual straps that connect to the from and back plate bag. Tried looking and all the keeps coming up is shoulder pads so I thought here would be a pretty good place to get what I’m looking for. Thanks in advance!

What makes tactical gear actually comfortable to use?

I’ve noticed that gear can look great on paper, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s comfortable or practical in real life.

For those who use tactical equipment regularly, what features make the biggest difference for you? Weight distribution, materials, adjustability, ventilation, pockets, or something else?

Would be interesting to hear what people learned from experience rather than from product descriptions.

Discussion Does anyone have experience with medtac international?

TLDR: customer service sucks, im worried my product isnt coming, if at all.

I ordered a medbag from them because the original manufacturer was discontinuing the product, and were out of stock in the color i needed. So I found it on medtac for an extra $50. I spent about an hour trying to call them to make sure it was in stock, and hopefully price match it. When you call, its just an AI voice line and when they transfer you to a person, it rings one time, then goes back to the Ai guy to leave a message. I called the original manufacturer and asked if they knew about them and did confirm that medtac was an authorized dealer. I explained the situation and they gave me a different number to call. I called that number and it went straight to busy tone. I called about 30 times before I got through to phone tree. Neither of the options made sense to me so I pressed 0 for customer service (wasn't an option, but universal press for help). It immediately hung up. I attempted to call back, but busy tone again the next 20 times before I gave up.

I finally caved, worried that they might sell out, and ordered the product. I got a confirmation email saying theres a 2-3 week lead time, and if you have an upcoming deployment (which i do), to leave a message and say that to ensure it arrives in time. I clicked the link, wrote a message, with the order number, and it asked for my email. Its been a few days and I have not heard back from any of the voicemails I left, email I wrote, nothing. I leave on the 20th of September and im worried it might not arrive in time, or at all, if theyre just ordering it from the manufacturer.

Has anyone had a similar experience or dealt with medtac before?

Is Cana Provisions snake oil?

There seems to be a huge marketing push for cana, especially on the spiritus/dirty civilian sides about preserving/treating water. The more that I look at it though it seems as it is a marketing scheme that keeps raising prices despite what it's made of individually can be piecemealed together for much cheaper. I feel like I especially recognized this after Dirty Civillians new video when they were criticizing and fear mongering data-center water usage despite using AI slop B-roll footage.

Is it worth supporting them? At most id probably buy their modcan as it seems to work well with gas masks, and maybe a preservation kit too (aquatabs from walmart might be the best choice). their field kits looks like pure bullshit that i can get from walmart for 5x less the price too.

Question Hiking Socks Recs for Hot Weather

Hi, I'm looking for hiking socks to wear with boots during hot weather. I'm going on a 5 day trip in the Rockies where I will be wearing the socks for most of the day and hiking up and down steep mountains (sometimes off trail). Biggest concern is that they won't make my feet sweat too much, but I am also concerned about blisters and I also would appreciate relatively affordable suggestions. Thanks

Question Plate Carrier help Europe

Hey guys, im looking for a Plate Carrier in Europe around 350, max 400€. That basically knocks out any american made modell. Id like an Plate carrier with QD on the cummerbund and at least 1 shoulder QD. Color should be RG. I currently have my eyes on the lindnerhof mx042, the direct action spitfire qd with a different (smaller) cummerbund or the husar noble 4.0.
The problem with the lindnerhof is the cummerbund, ist seems to be highly unstructural and lindnerhof doesnt offer alternatives as of now. The DAG is currently sold out and i need the carrier until the 20th September. As for the Husar i didnt find to many reviews out there and some said that one needs the comfort padding for it, which would blow the budget. Also not really sure since there are so little reviews on it.
Any input or different suggestions are welcome, im kinda stuck in the loop of choosing between the 3 for 3 weeks by now.
Cheers
