In its study, the Pasqal team subjected the AI agent to three tests.

3 tests?! I can already reproduce the entire list of qip papers using a 20 dollar subscription. How many of these "tests" already had artifacts present by original authors that pasqal's ai just translated into the code for their machines?

Fine tuning an LLM and running 3 tests on it shouldn't count for a nature article.

EDIT: nvm they didn't even fine tune an LLM, they just used Claude opus/fable and built their version of a harness like Claude code suited for pascal machines. Eh idk if this deserves a paper

Btw I'm not saying ai has replaced research lol, in fact quite the opposite, that this work doesn't warrant a research paper, I'd call it swe work

No its not.A AI cant help you solve the HSP for nonabellian groups.

Ofc they cant do it , can a computer by itself solve an problem related to a unknown algorithm.

There's good reasons to believe that there are no efficient algorithms for general nonabelian groups. Since this isn't the first time we've talked about the subject, I think you know that already.

With known transformations no.I have good reason to also believe that there are still unknown transformations which solve the HSP for some non abellian groups. If we could use non unitary transformations then it would have been easy of course.

Also some specific instances of HSP of nonabellian groups can be solved like a problem isomorphic to Q8.I am also a believer that it exists for D3.

You ought to realize by now that talking about an efficient solution for a single individual group does not make sense. How the time complexity scales with the size of the problem is the object of interest. If you're talking about a single group, there's no size to vary.

It's not about whether it's "practical". It's about whether you're even meaningfully understanding and engaging with the problem you're trying to solve.

Most unsolved QC problems are those isomorphic to non abellian groups and all are on the internet.

So why did you say that LLM can't solve HSP for non-Abelian group, followed up by LLM can't solve problems are not on the internet? I don't get it.

The way to solve the HSP of nonabellian groups does not exist on the Internet yet but what is on the internet is the fact that we dont know how to solve them.
