Can't connect left controller because the menu button isn't working

Yesterday my left controller got disconnected, happens every once in a while, but I can't reconnect it because a couple of months ago my menu button broke on the left controller, I Don't really know what to do about it, I saw someone fixing it by just letting the controller die then charging it again, but what if that doesn't work? And there's no chance I'm going into the effort of using my warranty, because I bought it from the UK and I live in Norway (It used to be about 6 times more expensive over here than in the UK)

Am I one handed forever? Do I save up for a replacement? Can I open the controller and fix it there somehow?

The top part with the buttons is removeable and replacement parts used to be sold online. If you can get the top part with the buttons. Maybe even opening it and trying your luck with some contact cleaner could help? Watch some youtube guides on the disassembly and see what they say.

No luck after cleaning it either, and everything looked fine on the inside. I'm trying to just let the battery drain because I heard if the battery dies it has to reset or something like that? We'll see.

When Menu button dies, for some reason it turns off or gets updated or shuts off for some reason it just gets bricked and no way to turn it back on. Best case scenario is just the button going bad not something internal, replace the face plate (assembly with butten and touch sensors) and hope for the best
It won’t even react to connecting it to charger. No way to diagnose it sadly
