I bought this console today thinking it was a version of the R36s. I'm not disappointed with the console, but I'd really like to know if there's any way to improve its performance. For GBA games, I'd also like to know if there's any way to add a browser like Chrome or make YouTube work, since it loads the ads but not the video. I'd also like to see if I can add some playlists I have and some anime, since I'm really looking forward to rewatching Death Note It reminds me a lot of the old .3gp format, like the Sony Ericsson W200 phone. Should I back up the TF card, or is it better not to? Thanks a lot for your help. (I don't know if the console is outdated (the version is there because when I try to search for a new version, nothing loads). ((Sorry for my English, it's not my native language.))

Comprei esse portátil e chegou a alguns dias.
No dia em que chegou eu testei e estava tudo certo. No msm dia eu peguei um cartão de confiança e baixei outro sistema, que no caso é o ArkOS . Fiz todo o processo de formatação de cartão, de passar o arquivo de imagem pelo programa Balena pelo macOs e portátil não reconhece o cartão. Fiz o msm processo com outro sistema e tbm não funciona.

Um erro q cometi foi ter formatado o cartão q veio com o console, não fiz backup. Até fiz o processo com esse cartão q veio nele, mas não adiantou.

Resumindo estou com o portátil parado desde do dia q chegou :(

Este é meu primeiro projeto de casemod, e estou na fase de planejamento. A ideia final é: - Case novo (impressão 3D): dobrável tipo DS/3DS, com tela + placa de um lado - Arrmazenamento: HD de 500GB (via USB) + 2x células 18650 em paralelo (BMS) - Trocar os botões: Start, Select e FN (perdi os originais)

Tudo planejado, mas esbarrei em um detalhe crítico:

O cabo flat da tela é muito curto pra funcionar numa case dobrável. Sem ele, não consigo fazer a dobradiça sem danificar o cabo ou deixar a tela inutilizável.

Alguém aqui já passou por isso? Gostaria de saber: 1. Existe um flat cable de reposição mais longo, com o mesmo pinout? 2. Ou dá pra usar um extensor/adaptador de flat sem perder qualidade? 3. Alguma solução criativa que vocês usaram? 4. Vocês acham que vai dá certo ou não? 5. O que vocês comprariam para essa situação e o que adicionaram?

HOLY CRAP this is overwhelming. I am trying to get into setting up my R36S with very little knowledge of stuff like this before. I just got it recently and already have the issue of the thing not loading properly and am ready to replace the microSD cards. I was told a two card setup is prefer. Without judging, without saying “this has been asked a billion times” can someone literally just tell me what two microSD cards I should buy, period. If they’re available on Amazon that would be preferred but I would just prefer someone with a flat straight up “hey get these two cards” instead of looking at the incredibly confusing wiki. Thank you.

I checked the wiki and my R36s is a fake from Dee Dee store. So don’t trust them.
Do the Ultras and plus’s have fake versions aswell. What shops should I buy from on AliExpress? A lot of the links on the wiki don’t work for the trusted shops.
Can I get custom games on the Ultra or are some of the games only available on the R36s?

Hi everyone, my console is having this problem: is it the SD card, so do I need to buy a new one, or could it be something else?

vamanOS is a simple firmware update for the R36S PS202 devices. These are fake clones of the original R36S and they come with Android 4.4, WiFi and Bluetooth. Their factory UI is really bad and there's very little scope for modifications. This is why I made vamanOS. It gives the handheld a clean game menu, opens games with RetroArch or PPSSPP, and enhances the experience of using the Android 4.4 based handheld.

This installer is for the R36S PS202, also called PS202 or TICHIPS.

The supported device should have:

• Model: PS202
• Build: PS202_00001
• Android: 4.4.2
• Processor: MediaTek MT6572
• Screen: landscape 640 × 480
• Built-in wireless: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

The installer checks the device before it starts. It is not for other R36S models or other handhelds. If this looks like your device, you’re good to go!

Currently, it is only being tested on Discord. Everything appears to be working correctly, and the reported bugs have already been fixed.

My PS202_6GEN1_MB_V11 is now hard-bricked with a black screen. PC detects it as MTK USB Port. Can anyone share a link to the original eMMC dump or the Preloader/Scatter files? Also full set of files are appreciated...

I've tried ArkOS4Clones panel 3 and it's not working. That's what another post recommended. It had lines and a blurry screen and also wouldn't shut off. Sorry if this is a repeat.

I have the runtime that it says to add, why dose it not work?

So I had a problem removing the broken screen from my R36S, and now I need both a new shell and screen. Help, i don't have acces to a 3dprinter for a custom shell righ now and can't find it online or in the wiki.

Just some advice. Just got a R36s via ebay and in mint condition but running an older OS version and looking to update this to a newer OS.

I'm trying to determine if this is an original console or cloned. It has 2 ram chips, which originally a sign of an original but from some reading clones now have these too. The front led displays red, green and blue (and pink when charging), which again isn't a definitive sign of an original.

I have the original DTB's and have tried the online panel id sites, which returns unknown as DTBs not recognised.

The PCB version is Y02 2024-08-12, which is similar to one in the DTB selector for dArkOs (re and en) of Y02 2024 12 18 ... but again doesn't really mean it is an original panel etc.

I have also been through all the wiki pages and can't see this PCB version listed anywhere (there are a few Y02 listed but not an exact match).

Is just a case of trying dArkOsRe and trying every original DTB to find one that works and if no joy then cycle each clone DTB and see if of those work? Is there way to access the DTB to find out if that lists the panel version (which I assume it won't otherwise the online DTB id would have picked that up).

Advice would be much appreciated

 I am using ArkOS4Clones on the r36 ultra and my mainboard is GR36-MB V1.4-20251029. i want to do a reinstallation of the OS but when i tried to do it i saw it give errors. after it was done the OS seemed normal though. it works as per usual and nothing seems wrong. but i am usure if the errors just now are something i should be concerned about.
