Sad

I am sad at what " religion " has done to so many people in the name of Jesus. So many believe they are on the narrow road yet do not understand they are still at the cross roads. They cant even or refuse to learn His word. They don't even really know the Gospel let alone the rest of scripture. They love what their denomination tells them to love and hate what their denomination tells them to hate. The Protestant, Orthodox and Catholic Church are all guilty of lead millions and millions astray trying to prove their way is the right way; instead of just following scripture and Jesus.

Just doing exactly what the NT says instead of wanting to add to it to make a name for themselves.

well. everyone is interpreting, no matter who they are. there is no infallible interpretive authority for God's word.

Most of the New Testament was written by a guy who never knew, met, or even heard Jesus speak.

The red letters are all you need (no Paul required).

How could he be an apostle, he never knew or even met Jesus? 🙄

Paul brought nothing to the message of Jesus that wasn't already covered by Jesus...instead he began creating his own religion and his own opinions still based heavily by the fact that he was a pharisee and persecutor of christians prior.

So the fact that the other apostles accepted him as one of their own and Peter even mentioned him. Means they are wrong and you somehow are right?

The 'real' apostles were very wary of Paul. The narrative you subscribe to, was written by Paul.

Yet what did Peter say of Paul in 2nd Peter 3:15-16 Did Paul write 1st and 2nd Peter?

You're barking up the wrong tree. You'll never convince me that Paul isn't the fraud that created his own cult.

You can follow the message of Jesus or Paul, but not both.

Yeah I just left a comment saying putting a cop in charge of the church when Jesus’s brother was available was mistake one

Yeah, Paul was definitely an opportunist. The real test of christians is who will fall for the false church of Rome and Paul, and who can recognize the true non-dual message of christ. 🍿

So far, 99% of Christians have fallen for the illusion, and why more are awakening to christ consciousness outside the church than from within it. Sad

I'm teetering on both. You know? Shining my light from within. We can do that ya know. I do think church is a beautiful thing. I needed community who loves God. Church has that.

Look, I dislike a lot of what Paul said and I certainly only try to follow Jesus. But, why wouldn't God correct us if He saw the Bible being written and including a lot of his stuff? This might be a pointless question, but I do wonder!

Ya I get that but the question still stands. I am sure its ~free will ~ and perhaps the more direct approach of "for those with eyes to see" God's mysterious for a reason, unbeknownst to me.

They are the same. They do not differ at all. The good thing is that believing what Paul wrote or not is not a salvation issue. He spread the Gospel. The same Gospel that the other apostles spread. And that is believe Jesus suffered died and rose on the 3rd day and repentance of sin. So again whether you believe or not what Paul wrote do not play a factor in salvation. He was the apostle to the gentiles.

Nope. Putting a cop in charge of their church when Jesus’s own brother was right there was mistake 1 for the early church
