Title, did a pretty awful job on a white head today need some advice!

If you like me we're waiting to build your 20 vanguard vets, now we have an idea, now you need to take this post with care cause we know that GW makes mistakes on these things.

The Armageddon box comes with a blade, looks like it will be the main weapon for the vanguard vets, apparently we can mix it with a shield, hopefully we can get blade+shield with no guns, or blade + gun with no shield.

The Sargent can get a blade, a hammer or a power fist, and him and up to 2 Marines per every 5 on the unit can have plasma pistols so up to 3 plasmas in one unit.

As a DA player makes me happy to get more plasma, but as a Vengeful Host detachment lover I also like sword + shield.

But I feel that finally I can start building this guy's, but feel bad that the armaggedon box didn't bring the 3 plasmas for the VV unit now I have to kitbash some guns on those guys that I just finished paint

Love Terminator armor, but I hate the helmets. Does anyone know where I can buy some nicer 3d printed ones? Extra points if they're beakies.

Getting a buddy into the tabletop and he likes RG's vibe. I know the RG detachment is phobos focused, so what are your suggestions for 350-450 point list that encapsulates RG?

I played my first game with the Raven Guard, Shadow mark Talon + Vengeful host and damn, we need a CP generation, I usually play DA or IK, so Azrael's giving extra CP, Canis reducing by 1 every player turn or making.

I made some mistakes, Kayvaan is a beast, he completely ripped a whole Khorne Berserkers + Kharn the betrayer, using some help of heavy bolter eradicators, but Kharn didn't wake up, neither Angron, and mo fight on dead were active that game, I told my friend: whatever the Raven Guard Kills, not even the dark gods can bring it back... I could not handle the T13 "not a knight" khorne bullshit powered by souls.

I had 6 centurions (my friend brought me some obliterators to proxy) the unit is bad, overcosted and a nice addition to legends, hopefully they gave us infantry las cannons with a decent cost.

Shrike Killed a guy in a boar, leading like 10 berserkers, after surviving an interruption that killed his entire 10 man squad, then survived by himself another round of combat against those berserkers before being cowardly killed by a backstabber cultist.

Shaan survived a whole round of shooting from that "not a knight" with a cannon in the chest and a Gatling gun, but he was killed by a demon prince that spiked an 11 on the charge roll.

A 5 man squad was obliterated by Angron himself, but the Captain survived after a quick retreat to start making secondary objectives, giving space to the Centurions to top down Angron.

At the end of the game the captain was able to kill the last 3 berserkers and hold one of the center objectives to score the last 10 points of the game.

Good game, Raven Guard 9/10 need more CP, cause all the strats are really good, Chapter Masters 10/10, jumpacks god, centurions, not worth, you are better with two executioners or lancers, or whatever the people with not Lion or DWK use to kill big stuff.

Edit: I played take and hold vs purge. I missed the missions and didn't check their score by just holding objectives, I thought he had to kill in objectives, so I was really shy on my first turn.

Since Shaan is now Chapter Master, do we know if Shrike is officially assigned to the 1st or 3rd Company, or is his current company affiliation still unspecified?

I’m a Militarum player looking to have a secondary army and as far as space marines go i’ve always liked the Raven Guard’s theming and lore. I don’t actually know any about how their army works though and what units to go for. What unit would you guys suggest be my first?
