I absolutely love this season, ngl this might be peak but i have some complain.

1. Why Newly subaru is not afraid of oldy. Like we do see him being scared of oldy when he sees millie death and subaru was here but he let it go very easily. It feel like he think oldy was a good guy. If i were in his position, i would feel oldy was a calculative manuplating psychopath. Who has manuplated everyone(thats why he keep praising him).

2. When newly go on rambling in front of them, he says return by death and him being a migrator and stuff but no one keen a eye. Seriously not even echinida. Like they would dismiss him being goin crazy but echindia knows that his past is shrouded in fog but she would not connect the dots. Same with him mentionin rbd but there is no reactions to his ramblings. I think there should be some consequences but then also he says stuff like these when his death is near but still we should see some reaction or some inner thoughts. I think i have to read the wn to even more clarify this.

Beacsuse of these two reason, i sometime feel not enjoyin much. If i am wrong snd there is a reason, please educate me.

For a while I was skeeved out that Emilia was mentally 14 (maybbeee 15 if lucky) at first, but just learned Subaru started at 17. 14 and 17 is def not good, but not near as bad as I was concerned.

So in season 4 the gang go up against the second exam in that trial thing, where they each need to defeat the stick swinger in order to pass. Thing is, Amelia knew she didn’t have a chance against him, so she proposes “If I make you take a single step, we pass” WE being the keyword, and the dude agrees. Similarly, after she wins, the stick swinger is talking to Subaru and says: “Oh shut your trap you wuss (referring to Subaru). Anyway, the hottie (referring to Amelia) won, so you can pass”. Now, he was still talking to Subaru, and more so, he had already referred to Amelia as “the hottie” so saying “you” in the same sentence can’t be referring to her as well, because you can’t be talking to somebody while talking about them. It’d be like going up to your friend John after he broke his leg and saying: “So John broke his leg, are you going to be okay?” It’s just not how it works. Thus by saying “so you can pass” he was absolutely still talking to Subaru. YET, despite agreeing to Amelia’s deal where she said “we” pass if she wins, AND directly telling Subaru that he can pass, he then proceeds to say that each one of them need to beat him individually.

Hence the conclusion that the guy is just a lying scumbag.

P.S. I am going of the dub of the anime so maybe this can be chalked up to a translation error, but idk.

I have been reading the first 2 volumes side stories and There something odd about ram

She remembers a language she sees for the first time and Al seems to know her.

Return by death earases everything so it can't be residual feelings or memory from previous loop

It seems to be something she forgot or maybe she and Al were part of different time travel magic than return by death

He's seen walking by when Subaru first get's iskaeied. He is seen in a few scenes around the royal capital in the 1st arc. He is in memory snow. He is also seen in the Sloth IF.

From Ep. 79 deliberately hiding Roy's whereabouts, it was very much possible to predict that Roy had eaten since there must have been an obvious reason to hide Roy, but I didn't do my due diligence and came up with Echidna just outright not wanting the group that came to the tower to know about the time period from 400 years ago instead of an easier explanation that a member of the Gluttony trio had eaten Reid.

Feel free to roast me if you want to or share whatever thoughts you have tangentially related to Reid's Book of the Dead, Books of the Dead themselves, or Roy Alphard. I feel I'd gotten most of the way there with logic but failed to connect the relevant piece of info with Reid's Book of the Dead.
