help request Overlapping recording behaviour
In my older recordings (v7.78 and prior), I could record a take on a guitar or bass track and the overlap would split the take and add a new lane. I would be able to switch between the takes without issue. Each tracks' lane settings has "Fixed item lanes" selected, as well.
After installing the 7.79 update, this recording behaviour isn't occurring. I record an overlap take, the new take records only to a new lane without splitting and I can't switch between takes. I haven't changed any settings and I'm unsure if the update could be part of the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so what settings did you tinker with to get the overlap/split behaviour to function properly?

i am pretty sure splitting only happens when not adding lanes.
what do you mean by "new takes records on to new lane without splitting"?
isnt that how its suppose to be? why would the media be split if they are on separate lanes?
