News Another upside down car

Post image

EMS just arrived. I have no idea how it happened but speed had to have been a factor.

There’s seems to be a huge rush going on recently and the aggressive responses to being slightly inconvenienced is such a big thing.

I had a green light to turn right and genuinely thought buddy at my left was going to blow through straight so I hesitated a bit to see if he was going to slam his breaks and the people behind me were honking and swearing. Like chill your absolute tits, unless you are heading to perform life saving procedures then calm down and wait an extra 10 seconds!

It’s Red Deer, worst drivers ever

So that's what was going on. I wondered why there was such a strong emergency response over there, but I decided to go around instead of through.

Nah. Shitty Red Deer drivers can flip a car over just crawling along.

You must be one one of them too!

I don't even understand this. It takes an incredible amount of torque to flip a vehicle like this! I can't look at an accident like this and not feel like it could have been avoided. If you're cut off at an intersection and it ends up like this, then neither person is solely at fault. Someone reacted poorly.

I'm from another province but did a job for a year in red deer a month ago. I've never seen so many accidents, what's going on in red deer?

My first few weeks of driving here were horrifying. Not surprised this stuff happens tbh lol

Speed limit is ignored by so many, tailgating seems to be a popular pasttime.

Ive never met nicer people than the people ive met in Alberta, but something happens to those lovely people as soon as they get behind a wheel 😆

Nope, low speed rollovers are exceedingly common due to tire on tire action. You know those black circles that are made to be grippy in harsh circumstances? Turns out they are even more grippy when they come into contact with another rotating object made to be grippy. People are more likely to be turning at sharper angles at low speed, which means tire on tire contact is way more common.

If it’s not a head on collision the vehicle will just immediately flip over due to the rotation of both tires forcing the vehicle up. Takes much less than most people think, evidenced by the relatively little pictured damage on this vehicle.

The reason ems is there is because it’s so easy to sue the at fault party in a vehicle collision and cash out, it’s the largest contributor to our high insurance rates. If I wasn’t at fault in this collision and ended up flipping I’d call in emergency services and say I was injured and sue the offending party as well.

That is a terrible intersection. I've seen at least three accidents there myself over the last few years.

The intersection doesn’t flip the car
