The guys at MLB Network believe Sal Stewart should be a lock for NL Rookie of the Year

I’ve taken a good, hard look at this team. It’s hard to imagine how it got this bad, but I really don’t see a “re-tool” scenario for next year.
I agree with most of you that the GM should be fired. There is no way a team playing in this ballpark should be 23rd in runs scored. Almost everyone has regressed. McLain and Arroyo are equally awful at the plate. Friedl and Noelvi Marte are terrible. Steer is mediocre. I could go on.
I think the new GM is probably going to blow this up and rebuild around Elly/Sal/Burns/Abbott/Lowder.
Even Elly isn’t a FA until 2030. Im shooting for the playoffs in 2028-29 but even that seems like a longshot

Among Cincinnati hitters with at least 250 swings, Elly leads JJ Bleday by 2.1 mph, with Noelvi Marte and Sal Stewart tied for third.
How much of Elly’s offensive ceiling is rooted in that elite bat speed, and how much depends on his contact quality and swing decisions?

I was looking at previous ROY races to see if I can find any comparison to this year's and I found a good one with the 2007 NL ROY. According to baseball reference Troy Tulowitzki had more than triple of Ryan Braun's WAR due to having elite defense at shortstop. Ryan won because he had one of the best rookie offensive seasons of all time while having terrible corner defense. Now Stewart isn't having that magnitude of season offensively, and he doesn't have terrible defense. But in my opinion he has a smaller gap to fill with his offense compared to Ryan's, and in my opinion he has filled it.

Reds Offense Ranks in MLB:
HR- 4th with 183
BB- 7th with 493
Strike outs- 2nd most with 1315
Runs scored- 23rd with 570 (top teams in the 700's)
OBP- 29th with .307
BA- 29th with .228
The personnel on the team and the hitting philosophy just don't match. HR's without guys getting on base won't score the runs needed. And I think there's some guys on the team who could get on base more, but are being pushed to be power hitters in their approach. This team just wasn't built to play 3 true outcome ball.
Question is for the next season, do they double down on this path, or try to adjust back to a different approach?
Bonus stat because it's brought up a lot, Reds are actually ranked 3rd best in GIDP, at just 74.

My friend said he had Mr Red and others sign this ball circa 2007-2008ish. He's not sure of the other auto's.
