Why Capitalism is necessary and why we need to fight hard to keep capitalism in the 2026 midterms:

Democrats also want to blame the rich people for everything. They want to blame rich people for their high cost of living. But here’s the thing: the top 10 lowest cost of living states are Republican and 9 out of 10 highest cost of living states are Democrat except for Alaska. This is due to high taxes and services cost more in these Democrat states. And most of this tax money is just a waste. 

Want to know why college costs so much? The Bennet hypothesis that was made in 1987 says student loan forgiveness and other college government programs are giving more money and universities know they can charge more. If people went to community college more where you can get the same degree and went to a cheaper 4 year state college and you looked into it then many universities would have to lower their prices to still keep making money. This is the student loan problem inside of America.

Healthcare? Obamacare. Good healthcare companies can no longer compete with each other for better health insurance because the government intervenes too much and the top medical companies stay at the top because they are supported the most by our federal government and no third parties can do much about it. 

The Biden administration injected too much money into the economy, triggering inflation that for a while has permanently raised the floor for food and consumer goods. Now our grocery prices are going to be too high. And what do you want Trump to do about it? Burn all our money? We cannot do that. But from January 2019 to now: the vast majority of that inflation has happened under Biden and since January 2025 it has not risen as much. 

And also, why should we tax the rich people insane amounts? They are the ones who hold the economy. They are the ones giving people the jobs, and when high urban cities tax them they are just going to move elsewhere. Higher taxes on rich people and capital gains can reduce the money needed for business investments, startups, and it makes creating a business really hard and expands the wealth inequality. Therefore, taxing rich people these insane amounts Biden wanted will create something called socialism and it causes countries like Venezuela and the Soviet Union problems.

And you may ask: What about the poor and needy? Extreme poverty has dropped sharply worldwide as free markets and trade expanded over the last two centuries. The rate dropped to 3.5% in September 2019. And for women? It dropped to 3.6% which was the lowest in decades. And for other demographics? Asian women were even lower at 2.7%, latino women at 4.7%, and black women at 5.6%. And was the overall unemployment rate under Biden? 6.4% at the peak and 4.1% at the end. That is worse than 2019 by a lot! And while we could blame COVID-19 for this, January 2025 was years after the pandemic. Biden’s massive federal spending packages, like the American Rescue Plan, fueled high inflation rather than helping the labor market heal naturally. Donald Trump's administration in his first term helped with poverty and homelessness by shifting federal funds away from unconditional housing toward "Treatment First" models that require actual work and find people jobs.

And people want to blame Trump for the national debt reaching $40 trillion, but for the most part he is just inheriting the interest. This is like Andrew Jackson giving the issues of removing the national debt to Martin Van Buren. And also: most of this debt is owed to our own country, not other countries. So we could compromise with our own people instead of blaming the rich people and needing socialism. A kid doing $10 for chores for their mom and dad and giving their siblings $7 of it and they keep $3 and he would rather keep his money than get taxed a bunch on the bond profit interest he makes. 

‘USAID report finds more than 100 UNRWA employees participated in Hamas atrocities on Oct. 7,” President Trump posted on Truth Social this week.

The U.S. Agency for International Development is closed, but its Inspector General’s office is still doing good work holding groups such as Unrwa, the United Nations’ forever-refugee agency for Palestinians, to account. Why, then, is the orphan IG’s future in doubt, even as the President cheers its work?
Preventing taxpayer dollars from enriching terrorists is a worthy objective. This IG’s office is unique in its ability and willingness to investigate such corruption abroad, which requires overcoming obstacles raised by the U.N. and foreign-aid complex. Yet the office is at risk of being swallowed by its State Department counterpart as part of the effort to eliminate USAID.
That would be a shame, especially given the burgeoning success of the Unrwa investigation. The IG’s earlier report led the compromised U.N. agency to fire 70 Hamas-linked employees, and the 108 caught participating in Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack is only the beginning. The office expects to expose more than 1,500 Unrwa employees tied to Hamas, according to a U.S. official briefed on the investigation.
The contrast with the State Department IG’s office, which today isn’t on record conducting any misconduct investigations into U.N. agencies receiving its U.S. funds, makes the case for keeping the USAID IG around.
A bipartisan amendment to the defense reauthorization bill would redesignate the USAID IG’s office as the “Office of the Inspector General for Foreign Assistance.” Since USAID is now defunct, the name change is a good idea.
More substantively, the amendment from Sens. Jim Risch (R., Idaho) and Jeanne Shaheen (D., N.H.) would preserve the IG as its own office in the State Department and expand its authority to follow foreign-aid money across most agencies. The State IG is busy scrutinizing embassies, much as the Agriculture IG focuses on food-stamp fraud. Foreign aid is its own opaque area that other IGs aren’t equipped to handle.

The IG’s work also supports the new Board of Peace in its efforts to build something better in Gaza. For too long Unrwa and the aid complex have subsidized Hamas, hired its members, and kept generations of Palestinians in permanent refugee camps that incubate terrorism. These groups looked away while Hamas tunneled underneath their facilities and stole or taxed aid to support its terror army.

The IG’s latest finding confirms that a Palestinian caught on tape throwing the corpse of an Israeli into a car trunk—to be taken to Gaza on Oct. 7—was an Unrwa social worker who doubled as a Hamas operative. Yet after Israeli leveled that accusation in 2024, a U.N. investigation brushed it off, explaining that “the evidence provided” could prove guilt only if it were “authenticated and corroborated.”
That satisfied the Europeans. If the USAID IG weren’t doing the work of corroboration, as the U.N. never bothered, Unrwa and its many terrorist employees would get away with it.

I just got a campaign text from Representative Vindman (7th district Virginia) with a picture of him in uniform. It is my understanding that this is outside of regulations and hopefully somebody here can refer this to the proper authorities at DOD/DOW or to the right place.

Good morning folks, tbh I’m surprised this subreddit exists with the massive echo chamber that Reddit is. I just wanted to tell my (abbreviated) story about how I opened my eyes and left that side behind.

I’m a 29 Male that grew up in a conservative household and pretty just went along with my parents beliefs. I graduated high school in 2015 and was already starting to be captured by the left from crap they started teaching around that time in high school. However when I went to college that is went my descent into the leftist cult started. I first hand can attest to professors teaching Marxist and gender ideology as undisputed facts rather than presented as theory. So when 2016 came around I along with the rest of my college friends had deep dts (most of them sadly still do) and we all voted Hilary, and we’re all freaking out along with the rest of the cult that Trump won.

Fast forward to 2019 after I graduated and start working in the real world my eyes were starting to open because I was opening my mind again to the other side and seeing conflicting information that the main stream news had lied about. But then when the pandemic hit my eyes were forced wide open!

They completely staged the January 6th “coup”. If you listen to any independent journalist covering it, it was very peaceful but for a few likely paid agitators that were being told to stop, by patriots there protesting.

During the pandemic the Biden administration let in more people than this country could take at once and called it empathy. They blatantly censored differing opinions and facts about masks and the vaccine, and postured it as “doing your part.” Had “peaceful protests” while a building was burning in the background.

The complete demonization/dehumanization the left so proudly does and has the audacity to say the right are “Nazis.” This over use of the term is sickening especially coming from a background where my grandmother suffered under real Nazis and her cousin lost her life in the holocaust.

Lastly, I guess I will ask this, is the left too far gone into their descent into socialist/marxist ideology, or is there still hope for these folks to come back to reality like I did and argue over how to run the country properly instead of identity and race? Or is this just a product of social media?
