Could you please share your evaluations or experience so far as an intern ! I am feeling so dumb and sad looking at my evaluations

I once asked an intubated patient if they felt they were ready to eat after my senior told me we should probably advance diet today. I was in the wrong patient room, the respiratory therapist in there gave me a horrified look before I finally caught on. Not my finest moment… you’ll be fine

When I was an intern i once asked a blind person when was the last time he saw his nurse......
He said never....
Had me at first....
My evals though have always been poor in the area of patient communication.. ive been told im too direct.

lol a few months ago my attending told a blind patient that at least he had a nice view out the Wu did as she was leaving the room, and I don’t think she ever even noticed the issue there

One time i started presenting a patient on mdr from my paper and it sounded wrong and half way i was horrified that it was the wrong patient and then i was like oh sorry wrong patient and then started over. Was so embarrassing but no one said anything

My evals have been the bane of my existence lmao. Some of my uppers have told me not to look at them too much, but I am too neurotic for that. So I look, get sad, get down on myself even more bc I thought I was doing a good job, then try to improve on whatever new thing that has been brought up to me. Rinse and repeat

Everyone feels this way. Without even knowing your evals I promise they aren't as bad as the worst I've seen.
"Dangerous"..."Lies BID" ..."not a surgeon. Needs to realize this" ... And my personal favorite, "Should ask about genetic testing at his next PCP visit"
You're fine. Learn what you can from them, keep on trucking
