Hi I know very little about resin casting but from all I've seen it seems like the best way to achieve what I want for a project I'm doing. I want to make custom controller shells for my Wii motes but I want them to be colored translucent plastic like those old colored N64's or like the atomic purple Gameboy. I do get the basic principal of pouring silicone over the item in two different layers but I have seen people use clay to block off the button holes in similar projects but i don't really understand when and why I should do that. I would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on the proper process for molding something like this. Any Info/Help is appreciated thank you in advance.
